mredskins 01-15-2015, 03:50 PM Great Hire. Now we have taken two steps in the right direction. Now it is time for the one step back... over the mountain 01-15-2015, 04:07 PM i see this as a kinda lateral move in terms of coaching talent but probably something that had to be done. lateral move in that i thought foerster was a very good O line coach. since 2010 he developed TW into a perennial probowler, lichensteiger's move to Center was flawless, got the most out of will montgomery when he was here .. not to mention he was the O line coach that got Alfmo the 2nd most yards in the NFL for 3 seasons. Foerster was probably the best position coach we had. had to be done in the sense that he was a hold over from Shanny's zone blocking scheme and we have a somewhat new approach to blocking now under gruden. NYCskinfan82 01-15-2015, 04:34 PM If it makes us better, I'm all for it. MTK 01-15-2015, 04:35 PM Damn that sure was fast with Callahan, nice move. skinsfaninok 01-15-2015, 04:48 PM Love the hire Ruhskins 01-15-2015, 04:54 PM Now it is time for the one step back... Here it is: Callahan may have some ties to Bruce Allen from their days at Oakland :joecool: Schneed10 01-15-2015, 04:57 PM Here it is: Callahan may have some ties to Bruce Allen from their days at Oakland :joecool: I know this is partially tongue in cheek. But I'm fine with "previous ties" if it yields the best candidate. I don't think the Redskins could have done better in the O Line department based on what was available. Callahan's a very good coach. But if we pass up Wade Phillips or Vic Fangio to hire Joe Barry because of connections, I'mma break something. Lotus 01-15-2015, 05:00 PM Callahan has proven to be an excellent coach of the kind of fat boys that McC hinted that we would be bringing in. MT @NBCdianna: Vic Fangio's family resides in the Baltimore area and his children attend school in Maryland. #Redskins |
