Falcons are hiring Kyle Shanahan as their OC, per league source. Shanahan and Dan Quinn planned to be package deal.

Vic Fangio's interview with the #Redskins ended earlier this afternoon. He left without a deal because he was apparently not offered one.

There are a lot of factors at play, though. Doesn't mean a deal can't be done. Nobody else was apparently offered the job on the spot.

I would be happiest if we hired Wade Phillips. Guy has done good everywhere he has been. Vic Fangio would make me happier than Joe Barry, but aside from San Francisco he has been less than average as a coach.

Agreed.

Yup. Doubt ANYONE that comes here will give us a top-10 defense next year, simply because of lack of talent. Fangio defenses have sucked in the past when he didn't have the talent. I'd bet Wade would have the highest chance of making lemonade from lemons. Anyway, hope SMcC gives him the talent he needs, but it's too much to replace in one draft/FA. Of note, the best defense is a good offense and if Griffin performs it would make everyone look better.
