Iupati missed 1 game due to concussion.

You're right. He only missed one game. The hurt knee and broken fibula were the year before when he missed 4 games.
We could follow the pattern we have over the last decade and give the guy the contract he wants, you know, the one the team that drafted, developed, and knows him best probably won't give him.
When a guy at his level is "testing" free agency, most of the time he isn't going to be a good value. He will command top dollar.
With the rookie contracts being tilted so much toward the teams, the way to be consistently successful is draft first and look for bargains in free agency. (Green Bay, New England, Seattle, and San Fran)
As mentioned in another thread, the Patriots are starting two undrafted free agents on their offensive line in the Super Bowl.
Paying huge money for the best player at a position (QB and LT excluded) is putting too many eggs in one basket.
Iupati has been a great player. He will be expensive, has a lower body injury history and is carrying 330lbs. He will not heal as fast as he did two years ago. Not a good bargain.
