That's a pretty bad list at QB.

True, couple guys that I have my eye on is Mike Glennon and Sam Bradford under contract and if they get cut. The only free agent is Ryan Mallet and to see if he is offered a contract by Texas.

Clausen played half decent for Chicago this year. Ponder isnt exactly putrid either.
If we need a body on the roster for that spot I would look at those two.i like both of those suggestions

Ron Parker SS, from Kansas City
Mike Iupati OG, from San Francisco
Dan Williams NT, from Arizona
Byron Maxwell or Brandon Flowers CB from Seattle and San Diego respectively
Rahim Moore FS, from Denver
Will Hill SS, Baltimore (has issues I know)
Samson Steele C

Those are the group of FAs I have interest in

Although he would be way too much and there isn't a need at all, having Dez Bryant on Madden would be fun

Your list got a little shorter ....

Has there been a Porter sighting? All those guys you mentioned can go bye-bye as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I think the guy who had the idea of throwing a grenade into the locker room to make the cuts wasn't far off.

I hardly care who goes bye-bye or how bad our W-L record may be over the next couple of seasons as long as we get younger and better to set ourselves up for long-term success. I want to see a true team build.

Porter was actually pretty solid when he played, but yeah, perhaps he's too injury-prone to keep. Meriweather shouldn't be penciled in as the starter, but if he comes back on a salary close to what he made this year(1.2 million I think) he'd be a good option to compete. And Lavuao wasn't as bad as a lot think IMO. He finished strong anyway.

Keep telling yourself those things if it makes you feel better. We'll see what our new GM, DC, and position coaches think about those players.

Okay, let's just cut everybody. How are you planning on replacing them? With free agents? Unless we spend a boatload of money, that's a lot of change just for the sake of change. Draft picks? We'll probably have at the very most 10 or so, and a lot of those won't be ready to play right away, despite your opinion that rookies have to be or they're "useless."

I don't care if they stay or go because we will be losing for the next couple of years with or without them. We'd actually be better off going 0-16 than 4-12. Then we'd get the No. 1 draft pick.

I'd rather have younger players; UDFA's, players off of other team's Taxi Squads, CFL players, and players straight off the street who we can try to develop. If I were the GM, I'd give any big, fast young player who shows up at Redskins Park a tryout. That's what Jimmy Johnson did when he took over the Cowboys years ago and he found some good players that way.

Porter played in 3 games, and had 5 tackles- 1 pass deflection. He earned about $2.5..... if he takes the veteran minimum, plus his bonus, bring him to training camp, and see if he can make the team.

Meriweather must go, he is one dimensional, decent tackler ... no coverage skills.

Half the PFs they called on him were legit hits.

When you draft a guy in the 3rd round, and the guy in front of him is older and struggling, you'd hope that the young guy could be a starter at some point. But you're correct, Long didn't do anything to show that he should start. But I'd rather try and plug in a drafted player at that position, rather than overpay for Iupati.

But didn't Long have his knee reconstructed in Oct or Nov before the draft?

That takes awhile to come back from.
