Why on earth would Mike take a coordinator position?

Why on earth would Mike take a coordinator position?

I think Mike would take a OC job with San Fransisco because he knows that is where he would have the best shot at becoming a HC again if the Jim Tomsula hiring is the disaster that most people think it is.

Because nobody has offered him a HC job.

That's cause he's Ron Jeremy AKA coach "Hedgehog":

I think it is humility, really. He wants to be in the NFL and he knows this is a way that he gets to do what he wants, as well as prepare him for a chance to be HC again. He just turned 61 - he still can coach for at least 9 more years if he leaves the game when he's 70 like Dick Lebeau

Kinda funny the best Mike can do now is coordinator.

Maybe his time here did leave him a little toxic after all.

Seems like it effects a lot of people .

I think it is humility, really. . .

The words "Mike Shanahan" and "humility" are words that simply don't belong in the same sentence unless accompanied by "complete lack thereof."
