Four players in. Here are my thoughts on the four players:
Randy Johnson: Basically a no brainer. People would stop what they were doing just to watch him pitch. Probably one of the last 300 win pitchers ever and highest K total by a lefty.
Pedro Martinez: His win total was not great but was good. However for seven years he was the most dominant player in MLB. Top 10 in winning percentage. He should be in.
John Smoltz: Very unique 150 wins and 150 saves by one individual had never been accomplished before. Plus he threw a 92 mph split finger fastball which is just unfair. I would say he is borderline HOFer but should be in.
Craig Biggio: I am not 100% sold on him as a HOFer. While he was a great player of our era I am not sure we will look back with awe at him. Plus I am not sure 3,000 hits is the benchmark that it once was. (It is like comparing 1,000 yard rushers from 1981 to 1,000 yard rushers in 2004 imo)
Snubbed: Mike Piazza. Yes he was a catcher who was mediocre defensively but the best offensive catcher of all time? come on! Not to mention drafted in the 62nd round.
