According to some of the DC ESPN affiliates, he's the kind of guy who tries to...."control" his drinking with only drinking a beer....now and then.. In all seriousness, that rarely works.
LOVE the move and I hope. LORD HOW I HOPe.....it works

From where he was, the occasional beer is fine.

Hopefully this will put an end to the quick fix nonsense we see with this team year after year.

NFL Network makes it sound like Scot McCloughan will get free reign to run the scouting department. I really like that he has had success (good track record) and is considered by his peers to be a very good FO person. most of all he is relatively young 42 or so.
We have come a long way from a FO run by Vinny 'bag of doughnuts' Cerratto and Dan Snyder. Now Hazlett is gone. Things are starting to look up.

Uh oh ... It sounds like we are winning off the field.

Be afraid ... be very afraid!

Can I get a fu*k yeah? Look at us, attempting to be a real professional football team! Now I'm really looking forward to the draft. Find us some winners.

Here we go again. F u Snyder doing just enough to keep me a fan.

See how it goes this time. Lol.

Lol.. I'm still not willing to allow myself to be completely optimistic. I refuse to fall for the okey-doke again...but I'm intrigued..

This is a very high risk move, IMO. I don't doubt his ability to do a great job as GM.

What's the risk? Can it actually get worse than it was the past 2 years? I suppose a run of futility like the Jags, Browns, Raiders, Redsk...oh wait a minute.

Seriously, there's not much risk at all...but I'm still in wait and see mode.

I'm all in for this move. I don't see this being much of a risk at all. It's a better situation than AJ Smith, Bruce Allen, and especially Vinny Cerrato being involved with personnel.

Except this HAD to be done. There wasn't any other choice that wouldn't have incited fan riots.

If you think about it, we're in uncharted territory now -- Schottenheimer, Gibbs and Shanahan all had the dual role of head coach & general manager/player-personnel decider-in-chief. Then you had Spurrier and Zorn being fed with players from Bozo the Clown.

Now there's a guy from the outside with football acumen, and a resume of success at picking out talent.

Dare I say it ... but, ... it's different this time.

Said the cocaine addict.

... and, as your fellow co-dependent Redskins fan and enabler, I nod my head in agreement.

See you in rehab in 2016.
