If the super bowl ends up being dallas vs. baltimore my football fandom will be in serious jeopardy.
100% agree. Baltimore fans feel almost as bandwagon-y as the Cowboys. As soon as that team got good, even Skins fans defected.
Now, back on topic, for the first time in a while I trust our front office structure and LOVE that he (supposedly) has the autonomy to build the team however he wants.

For those who are on the fence or who choose to believe McCloughan will just be another bad hire by Snyder, you need to realize how well respected McCloughan is around the NFL. He's been doing this for over 20 years now, and he's still young (43 years old.) Just don't believe every little thing you hear from fans on the internet in terms of this guy. Read the ESPN article (http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/12014699/scot-mccloughan-nfl-best-talent-scout-self-employed-living-farm) on him, that will give you a little incite.
Just also keep in mind that every General Manager, no matter how good or bad, is going to miss on guys. McCloughan has been called a savant of sorts when it comes to scouting, but he'll even admit that he misses on more than he gets right. But the players he gets right usually wind up doing better than all other drafted players of the league - especially as they progress throughout their careers. So, don't expect him to hit a winner on every pick, but do expect him to hit on more than our front office has in the past 15 years.
I think this is real change. I think this is legit. I know we have been fooled before, but this is exactly what we have asked for.
Honestly, I think if they came out and said they're in rebuild mode, it would show they've got a real plan in place. I personally would not be turned off by this at all. Actually... I would welcome this type statement, and I think a lot of fans would too.
Nor would I.....

Good stuff here
I'm on the fence because of his personal problems with alcoholism.
I've never seen a recovering alcoholic with the "one beer is ok" mentality be successful.
Who knows how long he will last.

It's possible he's not an alcoholic.
There are differences between true alcoholics and those that abuse alcohol. I'm not going to get too deep into it but I have a good friend who's a counselor that could explain it a lot better than I can.
This touches on what I'm talking about.

Alot of people probably considered me an alcoholic when I was going through my divorce. Divorce can bring out the best in people.
P.S. I'm a casual drinker now, and I'm doing just fine now. 🍸🍻🍷
