I couldn't agree more. I have been saying for awhile that this organization has been being broken for 20 years and it could take over 5 years to fix. This team is in total rebuild mode but management will never come out and say it for fear of scaring off the few remaining ticket buying fans they have.

SM doesn't need to spend money on over-priced FAs, he need to get as many draft picks as he can get so this team can start down the road of drafting and developing players like all successful NFL teams do. SM has a huge and very difficult job ahead.

I hope SM has told them they're in rebuild mode. Seems to me that's a tough pill to swallow for Snyder and Allen. We need to operate just like Jacksonville is. Even though they suck, they're doing it the right way.

Yes. Cutting Bowen would clear $5.5M in space. He is as good as gone, especially since Haslett won't be here to go to bat for him.

Cutting Bowen seems like a no-brainer. He was never worth the $$ we gave him.

Gruden still likes him too so it's doubtful they move him.

Yup. I got a feeling now RG3 will certainly be moved now.

During that draft, I heard McC was high on Cousins.

Not high enough on him to pick him ahead of where they took Wilson in the third round though.

Yeah, I mean McC is not an idiot.

Its a tough pill to swallow for everyone. The best thing the Skins could do is to think of themselves as an expansion franchise (the sad truth is they aren't too far removed from an expansion franchise talent) and build from the inside out.

can you blame them for that?
Just intelligent marketing.............or bait and switch depending how you look at it

I dont blame them one bit but the charade has worn thin and nobody is buying that this team is close.

Honestly, I think if they came out and said they're in rebuild mode, it would show they've got a real plan in place. I personally would not be turned off by this at all. Actually... I would welcome this type statement, and I think a lot of fans would too.

I would welcome it. It would show that people in Redskins Park have a clue. You can't fix a problem if you are not aware of it.

Instead we get "winning off the field."

I'm pretty sure McCloughan knows what's up, and the task ahead of him. I don't care what they call it the proof will be in how we approach each offseason for the next 4 years. He's going to build through the draft and free agency should be much different too.
