Scot McCloughan to be new Redskins GMChico23231 01-08-2015, 09:44 AM The million dolla question is what McC thinks of RG3, anyone have an info on his predraft thoughts on RG3? TheMalcolmConnection 01-08-2015, 09:58 AM Just thought about this, but one thing that could ruin this offseason for me is if the Cowboys win the Super Bowl. For some reason I think they beat GB based on more BS. It's bad enough where I live once that bandwagon gets rolling, but if they actually WON one, that would create more generational Cowboys fans. Everyone loves a winner. :P ArtMonkDrillz 01-08-2015, 10:15 AM Just thought about this, but one thing that could ruin this offseason for me is if the Cowboys win the Super Bowl. If not for a crappy division, they would not have seemed so improved. While it seemed as if the Seahawks became good overnight, there was a since of slow and steady, and there was some major changes in roster during the progress. I'm saying that to say that it's going to take McCloughan a while to bring in the right guys. He may still need to bring in the right head coach. This is a situation where progress is going to have to be shown in other ways rather than the record in the beginning, because I don't see this being a quick turnaround - but I do see McCloughan turning this team around as long as he is given a chance. But us fans need to be patient with him. He may make some moves that we're not necessarily "fans" of, but in the end, winds up being the best move for the franchise. It's going to be an interesting next four years guys. I definitely feel we have something to look forward to! skinsguy 01-08-2015, 10:25 AM If the super bowl ends up being dallas vs. baltimore my football fandom will be in serious jeopardy. I would have to root for Baltimore, but I loathe either team. If Carolina gets knocked out this weekend, I'll probably wind up rooting for New England, as crazy as that sounds. Might as well see Tom Brady get one more ring before he retires. Skins1570 01-08-2015, 10:36 AM It is really odd how low level news this is to like ESPN and SI....I have to like hunt for it on their web sites. It is low level on ESPN and the NFL Network because nothing is official yet, after the press conference to introduce him is over they will give it plenty of attention. Hog1 01-08-2015, 10:49 AM I couldn't agree more. I have been saying for awhile that this organization has been being broken for 20 years and it could take over 5 years to fix. This team is in total rebuild mode but management will never come out and say it for fear of scaring off the few remaining ticket buying fans they have. SM doesn't need to spend money on over-priced FAs, he need to get as many draft picks as he can get so this team can start down the road of drafting and developing players like all successful NFL teams do. SM has a huge and very difficult job ahead. can you blame them for that? Just intelligent marketing.............or bait and switch depending how you look at it MTK 01-08-2015, 11:00 AM Things can be headed in the right direction in 2-3 years I think. Over 5 years is an eternity in this league. SFREDSKIN 01-08-2015, 11:05 AM I'd take Iupati over Brooks. Brooks is kind of washed up isn't he? He took himself out of a game cause he wasn't happy with his playing time and has had numerous off field issues. To me he's too much of a risk. Iupati is a road grader but SF really struggled in protecting Kap. He's obviously an upgrade over anything we have at guard. Brooks lost playing time to rookie Aaron Lynch who was as good as Aldon Smith, he came into camp heavier than usual. Brooks can still play, he started losing weight abd will be motivated after year. He was pissed at Tomsula for giving Lynch more playing time. On the OL issues their RT was out most of the year (played 6 games) lost 2 C and Boone held out and came in rusty. Iupati lost some games to concussion, but was the most consistent OL. MTK 01-08-2015, 11:10 AM During that draft, I heard McC was high on Cousins. Gruden still likes him too so it's doubtful they move him. |
