Chico23231 02-10-2015, 11:56 AM Williams or Fowler at 5 would change this defense. Or trade back and grab Shelton or Collins. The talent isnt there in my opinion at other positions to go a direction other than Dline or Oline in the top half of the draft which'll make fans happy .
How would you guys feel about Marcus Peters at the top of the second?

I remember the name but forgot the story. Never saw him play, but the quick google research says he is the most talented cover guy in the draft, but probably carries just as much drama as Winston. Winston is going #1 overall, I would grab him no question in the second.
Says Marshawn Lynch is his mentor, of course I see that as another feather in his cap. Id take him
keemarley 02-10-2015, 12:03 PM Yup, hes an Oakland kid just like Lynch. Heard early in the process some teams might hold that relationship against him. Seems like most of Peters' problems have come from being overly competititive. Think him and Breeland could develop into a top flight cornerback duo.

He doesn't seem so bad. If Marcus Peter is as good as they say, a corner tandem of Bashaud Breeland and Marcus Peter would transform our secondary.
Man.. That'd be a good pick for me at the top of round 2... No doubt..
Chico23231 02-11-2015, 10:14 AM Had a dream last night we drafted Bradon Schreff after we traded back in the first round...........also we traded for Andrew Luck somehow and gave him a ten year, 200 million dollar contract

Haha @ the Luck comment.
The more I think about this draft the more I think we should stay away from OLine in the first 3 rounds. I know this might get me killed on this board, but our top two picks should go to front 7 guys as that's where we'll get the best value unless one of those late first round dbs fall.
I really think Long and Moses will be servicable lineman. It's on our coaches and Qbs to put them in a position to look good.

We're all just fans with our own opinions. However, I disagree with you about Long and Moses. I was never really high on Moses coming out of college. After watching him in limited snaps. I'm convinced that this guy will be a average RT at best. He couldn't beat out Polumbus or Compton. That should say it all. Spencer Long might turn into somebody. At this point, I really just don't know. He couldn't be any worse than Chris Chester.
I have concerns about both of these guys. They couldn't outplay Polumbus, Compton, and Chester. Both of these guys have had serious injuries thus far in their young careers. I'm not sure if Moses is going to be available for training camp. When these guys did get a chance to see the field neither one of them were impressive. I don't have any confidence in these guys.
The OL is just as important as the front seven. The offense will only be as good as the offensive line. Last year we couldn't run the ball without RG3 in the line up. Our OL in below average. The only way we're going to be a good line is if we put some good players on that OL. The pretenders that we have on our team right now will not get it done.
With that being said, I have no problem with investing the first three picks in the front seven. However, I don't believe for a second the guys we have right now on our OL is good enough to get the job done.

Great points. We'll have to see how it turns out. I think the problem with Moses was fans viewed him as a day 1 starter. I don't think the staff ever anticipated that. If we're truly going to build through the draft we have to give our staff some room to coach up players and give those players time to grow. Whether or staff is competent is a whole other discussion haha
