Ray has an intense burst in his pass rush. Very impressive.

But I would say that Gregory is better because:
1) better length - this is more important in the pros than in college
2) better size once they have both filled out
3) probably better against the run although both players can be dinged on this.

Gregory is a better all-around player, taking into account more than the pass rush. This goes double for Beasley, who can pass rush like heck but doesn't do much else.

My two cents. I can't argue with that bro. I agree with all of your points. The man does look like an Aldon Smith. I think he's going to be a special player in a couple of years. And I would welcome here with open arms. I just personally believe that Shane Ray can be an elite pass rusher. We look at our team last year the lack of pass rush caused us some games. I think that Randy Gregory, Shane Ray, Vic Beasley can vastly improve our pass rush, which can make our defense better, and our team in general better.

Let me ask you guys a some questions about the draft. Since we're not drafting a LT it's no reason to draft an OL at the top of the draft. Our biggest needs on the OL in the interior. With such a high pick in the second we have a chance of getting one of the top interior linemen in the draft. My question is if we trade down, how far down do we go? If we stay in the first half of the 1st round do you think we can still address the our pass rush? If we end up in the second half of the first round who should be our target?

Gregory also has shown some ability in pass coverage.

Although I like Gregory more than I like Ray, I think that Ray has a chance to be a good pass rusher as a 3-4 OLB in the NFL. On the other hand, Vic Beasley is simply too small to play OLB in a 3-4 defense, at 6-2, 235. I don't think he's a fit for us but he is a very good athlete who has been an outstanding college pass rusher.

Gregory should be taken in the top ten, if not the top five, of the draft. If we want him, we'll probably need to take him at #5.

As for Ray, I think we could possibly trade down to the 10-15 range and still get him, if we want him. That might be a very nice scenario for the Skins: Trade pick #5, draft Ray later in the first round, and pick up an additional second round pick in the process. One can hope.

Having followed several draft sites over the years, IMO I can say that CBS is easily better than Walterfootball in terms of accurate facts and predictions. No site is perfect, of course, but IMO CBS has a much better track record.

No appreciable difference between the two sites in the case of these three players. CBS ranks all of them highly with Gregory at #4, Ray at #8, and Beasley at #9 overall.

cbs bought sportsxchange, with rob rang et al, so... that's the best media/consumer facing analysis you can get.

Would love to have Randy Gregory at no 5.
The best thing for our db's is pressure the qb.

Kiper loved Manziel for the longest time, his #1 QB, at one point he said he should be the number 1 overall pick.
