nice quick blurb on the situation. Back in the mid 90s early 2000s when I lived in fairfax, dc, worked in alexandria this attitude was rampant. its a sympton of the area.

Maybe she has apologized privately to the lady. I don't know.

Generally, I agree. I am just suggesting that she is very fortunate her employer seems to think so as well.

Typical blog (I admit this ought to go in to the debating with the enemies forum) we can't blame the person who did the bad thing because we know we all have that same thing...

We do all have our demons, some huge, some minor, but we also all have to deal with the consequences of our behavior. Her behavior on that tape was not good behavior and she has consequences from it. Not sure that as the article says "Let’s take this moment to acknowledge that we’re all a bit complicit and work to combat these ugly attitudes within ourselves" is the right response.

Not saying she should be fired, but one week was weak as hell by ESPN. For me it was the personal attacks on the appearance of the person taking the money. So uncalled for.

As a reporter Brit does nothing for me at all. Yeah she's nice to look at but so is every other women doing sports. She brings nothing to the table at all. Even when she was doing the local beat, just really nothing.

Not a good look by Britt knowing that these days anyone with a rant like that that's recorded is gonna get put on blast. And especially a tv personality.

Regardless, what she said was just so out of bounds, I don't see how there's any way to defend what she said. In that situation be the better person, walk away and don't stoop to that level.

Or just pay them in pennies and avoid the name calling if you really wanna be vindictive

I don't necessarily agree she gets a pass, but I do wonder what went on in the parts of the video that were edited out.
