I don't care what the title is but I want one person in charge of the business of the franchise-stadium operations, marketing, advertising/sponsorship deals, etc and another in charge of football operations. Allen is better suited to fill the role of the former. For the latter, I want someone who's had experience scouting, putting together a draft board, even playing/coaching at the highest level if possible.

I feel the same. I guess some folks just blame Snyder for the poo-in-the-fan fiasco.

The Raider team that he put together was the Over the Hill Gang all over again. The Bucs team that won the Super Bowl was put together by Tony Dungy. Not once was I excited about Bruce coming to town. We need a GM with a real vision. That is something we don't have here at the moment.

I mean, Ive never worked in an nfl organization, but it seems like your breakdown makes sense and my expectation of would be most nfl org would run like that example. Bruce absorbing both was foolish. I'm surprised Dan would actually allow it. Strange. But I also worry about other folks in Dan ear as well who apparently have a voice who clearly shouldn't. What we need is someone in the org who refuses those other voices and opinions.
