thats what the guilty do...aaron hernandez style, destroying cells phones. Im sure they have a drill for that in training camp...the patriot way.

Dont care what anybody says...spy gate, deflategate, and player killing someone, possibly others. Patriots championships are tainted.

That's what jealous fans say .

I'm guessing he had much more to hide than just the deflate gate BS.

Brady thought he was above it all due to his legacy and Goodell said "not in my house bitch". One thing Goodell has said before is that lying would always make the punishment worse. I support this suspension due to the circumstances.

I want to chime in on the Deflategate thing. Big picture perspective first, I don't think the footballs being deflated 1/2 lb or 1 lb of pressure or whatever they were had much of an affect if any on the game the Patriots played against the Colts, cause it was a blowout and they could have played with a Nerf football and it wouldn't have mattered. The issue it raises with me is how many other times, the balls may have been under inflated in the past in a cold/wet game when the game was close. Turnovers are a big deal in win/loses and a soft football helps keep that from happening. So there is a question in my mind of the past more than that specific game. Second, I don't think there is anything on my cell phone I am ashamed of, so turning mine over as "evidence" would be OK with me to keep from losing 4 games and millions of dollars. The fact that Brady destroyed his is an admission of guilt to me, much like using fake pee for a urine drug test. I sure that really rubbed Goodell the wrong way and why he stuck to his guns.

Tom Brady is a great QB, but this manipulating the rules by him and the Patriots or otherwise trying to get an advantage is just getting old.

Once again, the cover up is worse than the crime. Brady and the Pats look pretty damn dumb...again

It really is hard to "prove" anything at hearings / trials, etc. There is a natural bias among the public (which I generally applaud) towards "innocent until shown guilty." When a person accused of something is shown destroying things that any reasonable person would say "Well, that would have been helpful," I have NO problem with (1) presuming the destroyed evidence showed guilt; and (2) severely punishing people for intentionally obstructing investigations even if the underlying violation is minor because they are attacking / undermining the ability of authority to punish actual wrong doers; thus, they injure everyone else in that system.

Deflategate was a mountain out of a molehill. Brady destroying a cellphone was a clear obstruction - I would have suspended him for that alone and, probably, for more than four games.

With that said, Brady will be filing his federal court appeal in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ...
