I would guess because there were incriminating as hell.
Bingo.
Brady made the personal choice not turn over his texts, knowing full well the risk of getting fined, suspended and his team getting fined and losing incredibly valuable draft picks. Rather than turning over the texts and (option 1) possibly getting exonerated. Or (option 2) turning over the texts, been found guilty, accepted the blame and taken full responsibility.
So now that Brady made the personal decision not to turn over possible incriminating texts then take the next logical step: he lied to the fans, his coach, his owner, the league, the commissioner and to most importantly the investigation. Obstruction of justice is a crime not just in the NFL but everywhere in this country.
This is no longer about 1.2psi.
It is about a team that has been caught TWICE breaking the rules and now not cooperating with an impartial investigation.

Aaron Rodgers Likes To Tamper With Footballs, Too (http://deadspin.com/aaron-rodgers-likes-to-tamper-with-footballs-too-1680676328)
Suspend him too I guess. It would be the only way to preserve the integrity of the game.
I'm not for Brady's suspension but I really wish we didn't face him or Hardy this year.
The league probably consulted Jerrah about the length of each suspension while on the Cowboys' party bus.

that would be a good mid-summer thread/poll:
Which penalty do you think was more harmful?Hard to beat the vindictiveness of springing the "penalty" on us on the eve of free agency. And changing the "rules" on how we could split it up after announcing it. And repeated ad nauseum, we broke no rule. The NFL owners just couldn't enforce their illegal collusion to keep the cap in an uncapped year, when the Players Union could have acted. They could only get revenge on us afterwards, after DeMaurice Smith signed away the union's right to take action.
Alright it's over thank god. What's next? Can it be fixed ever? Seriously I don't know if Dan will ever have a winner. I'm good with cleaning house.

Yes and.........Done....what else?
first thing is we need to do is divert the Potomac river and run it through fed ex stadium in an attempt to finally put out the largest, continuously burning dumpster fire in the nfl.
Fire out, have a nice day!

Manipulating balls:
NFL aware of game ball incident during Vikings-Panthers - Minnesota Vikings Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/minnesota-vikings/post/_/id/11218/nfl-aware-of-game-ball-incident-during-panthers-vikings)
Ended in a phone call saying knock it off.
Blandino said he would remind the teams the next week not to violate the rules again!
The integrity of the league I say!

Haz and Morris need to go. Point blank period.
Griff I think needs one, and I mean ONLY one more chance to show what he's got. With that said, I think we need to seriously consider drafting a pure pocket QB and letting him sit behind Griff and Cousins/McCoy and study next season.
Defense is a mess. I just hope we sign a FA DB and draft a safety in the off-season because they look like a bunch of idiots back there.
Point Blank...Period
Hire a solid GM who will fire Gruden, hire Bowles and let Bowles select his own staff. I really want Bowles aggressive defense scheme, tired of pussy football.
