EARTHQUAKE2689 12-19-2014, 10:52 AM So now, that means the Redskins move into the fourth position of the draft? Yeah baby, lol!
Pretty sure we are still 5th because we beat both Jacksonville and Tennessee.
SFREDSKIN 12-19-2014, 11:29 AM not necessarily. comes down to strength of sched. jags, to date, have had easier sked and thus would win tiebreaker
Lotus 12-19-2014, 12:06 PM Yeah, the draft is done by strength of schedule as the first tiebreaker. We have a weak SOS (.470), meaning that as OAK, JAX, TEN (and maybe even Tampa) win, we can move up significantly, theoretically to #1. Of course SOS's will change over the next two weeks and any movement of ours only comes from losing.
Currently:
1. Tennessee (2-13, .483).
2. Tampa Bay (2-12, .467).
3. Oakland (2-12, .571).
4. Jacksonville (3-12, .507).
5. Washington (3-11, .470).
6. N.Y. Jets (3-11, .533).

thanks for the informative post. im optimistic we can move up.
calia 12-19-2014, 06:40 PM You know, call me crazy (and I probably do sound crazy for saying this), but I think if the Redskins are keeping RGIII, why not go out and get a guy like Michael Vick? He mirrors Griffin's style of play. He's been successful in the NFL. He's a veteran. He wouldn't command an outrageous contract at this point in his career. And he WANTS to come play for the Redskins. I think it would be good for RGIII. I think it would be good for Vick. Griffin could learn a lot from Vick since they both have very similar styles of play.
I know people hate Michael Vick, the person. I despise what he did. I don't know the man's heart at this point whether he was/is truly sorry for the dog fighting, but I'm looking at this more of a business opportunity. A chance to possibly help RGIII as much as having a solid veteran quarterback who still has the skills to get the job done. I mean, why not? Take away the off field matters of the past, why wouldn't it work?
You're crazy. I don't think Vick helps RGIII become a better QB. There are plenty of other role models who could -- Steve Young, anyone?

I find it amazing how the same dysfunctional organizations are always picking near the top of the draft.
calia 12-19-2014, 11:07 PM Sadly we are one of them.
