Could a Griffin <> Cutler trade be on the back burner?

Rather see Griffin for Kyle Long.

Skinsfanatic 12-17-2014, 08:22 PM If we were to trade for Cutler, we would HAVE to put Deangelo Hall in at WR. Cutler can't help but get the ball to him. NC_Skins 12-17-2014, 09:26 PM Let me get this straight, so teddy bridgewater and Carr were available in the draft and they took Manziel? Wow, very Browns of them. Wonder who made that dumbshit call That's a Jimmy Haslem pick no doubt. He's just the kind of dumbass that would do something like that. On that note, it's going to be entertaining watching that kid burn under the magnifying glass. Lotus 12-17-2014, 09:31 PM IMO there is a decent chance that Cutler will be our starter next September. I'm not rooting for this, just sayin'. Hog1 12-17-2014, 09:32 PM IMO there is a decent chance that Cutler will be our starter next September. I'm not rooting for this, just sayin'. Curse You! VTSkins1961 12-17-2014, 09:36 PM Cutler our starting qb - God I hope not. He is an interception machine skinsfan69 12-17-2014, 09:37 PM Just goes to show you that it takes a lot more than pure talent to be a great QB. Cutler has the big time arm and weapons, but can't get over the hump. Wouldn't surprise me if Mike Shanahan is the next coach of Chicago. I.....Could see Shanny going there....and the Cutler connection would work as well if they keep him....hmmmm ethat001 12-17-2014, 11:18 PM If the bears are truly getting rid of Trestman, I think they keep Cutler. But I would not be opposed to Cutler->Griffin trade. Perhaps change of scenery would be good for both. Cutler is 31 with a big contract, so that could mean only a few more years but it could make us competitive and allow us to continue to develop Cousins (?) or draft another developmental QB. Cutler would have DJax, maybe Garcon if he's here, a decent RB, good TE... Many issues with Cutler, as he's not playing well. But one issue is our protection. This link (http://sportsmockery.com/2014/08/jay-cutler-holds-ball-long-sure/) and this link (http://www.footballoutsiders.com/under-pressure/2011/under-pressure) suggests he holds the ball too long (~2.8 sec)-- and would get killed with our protection. Biggest -> I don't see Cutler causing much media controversy recently, and not tweeting or arguing with fans on facebook. However, I also don't see him as a strong locker room guy / leader. |
