Ruhskins 01-29-2015, 09:34 PM I think the biggest mistake that this team made was to put a mediocre team around an unproven/developing/so-so set of QBs.
Unless we happen to get our hands on the likes of Rodgers, Manning, and Brees. We're not going to win games until all of our units can play at a respectable level. Just about all of our units, except maybe the running game, have been trash over the past two seasons.
punch it in 01-29-2015, 11:53 PM He does make some valid points but I know, he's not allowed to talk for some reason.
First off wilson shouldnt be mentioned with brady either. Lol. If brady played on seattle they would win every game they play!
Im glad that you pointed out the question it takes alot of the stupid out of the answer.
As for his not being allowed to talk - no not at all. But to bring up injuries etc? The dude was faaaar from impressive against houston while he was healthy. Also bad ankle or not he flat out stunk - had the mechanics of a tin man running low on oil. He missed wide open targets all damn year and could not read the field to save his life. He wasnt just missing throws he was flat out missing reads.
Hey hopefully he gets it next year, but if i had to put money on him being succesful lets just say it wouldnt be much. Lol.
punch it in 01-30-2015, 12:00 AM He is a supreme athlete without supreme mechanics that is injury prone. The song goes two outta three aint bad.......
I dont think he is the answer.
diehardskin2982 01-30-2015, 12:16 AM If Cavanaugh can get RG3 footwork right things can turn around quickly. Since his knee injury I believe he has been trying to use pure arm strength.
punch it in 01-30-2015, 12:23 AM Yeah but the missed reads are the real worry. Again he isnt just missing throws hes missing wide open wr's? Thats scary.
KI Skins Fan 01-30-2015, 09:04 AM Redskins’ RGIII says he wasn’t healthy last season and ‘it sucked’ - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2015/01/29/redskins-rgiii-says-he-wasnt-healthy-last-season-and-it-sucked/)
“Last year I wasn’t healthy, and it sucked, so there’s no other way to say it other than that,” Griffin said. “When you dislocate your ankle in the second week of the season, when you and your team have big things in mind. It’s just getting healthy, getting the mental break getting a chance to spend time with family, and then formulate my plan going forward for this year and we can go out there and win games and be playing at this time next year.”
“And that didn’t happen when I got back out there, and coach made a decision. And that’s an unfortunate decision, and something we all had to go with because that was coach’s choice."
"I think it just comes with the organizational support that [Brady and Wilson] have as well to be the players that they are, to understand that this is our guy no matter what. I think the [NFC Championship] game with the Packers shows that more than anything. When a guy goes out there and throws four interceptions and then leads them to a victory, I think that guy knows in the back of his head that his entire team has his back, and the entire organization has his back. And I think that’s important, and I think it’s been the same way for Tom Brady."
Still not accepting any responsibilty for his own poor play. Injuries, coaches, organization but not RGIII.
:puke:
This is disheartening to me because it sounds like RGIIII hasn't learned a damn thing. Now, I have to doubt that he'll ever get with the program here in D.C.
Oh well, we'll see what he's got this summer. At this point, I don't much care how it goes with him. If necessary, we'll just go forward with someone else at QB.
JoeRedskin 01-30-2015, 10:10 AM I read the article. It certainly can be interpreted in a couple of different ways.
Bottom line, he simply has to figure out a 3 step drop. Foot hits, ball out. If you can't do that consistently, and do it well, you can't play QB in this league. He has yet to show the ability to do that, injury or no injury. The deeper drops, the pocket presence, maybe he can learn and assimilate that over time, but if you can't do the "move the chains" throws consistently well, he'll never get the time to do that.
I still am hoping he gets his had out of his a** and comes through for us. I just don't know if he can.

I think there are a lot of QB's that would like to have Garcon, Jackson and a healthy Reed. They've put weapons around him. Yeah the line isn't the 91 group, but he doesn't do himself any favors by not getting rid of the ball when he's suppose to. He's sacked at a alarmingly high rate. Can't just keep saying "the line sucks!" He makes them worse than they really are.
I'm at the point where if he plays poorly this off-season/pre-season then they should just trade him. It's not worth the headache/drama.
Defensewins 01-30-2015, 12:43 PM RG3 not only has to overcome his glaring lack of the basic fundamentals of playing Qb in the nfl, but he has the more difficult job overcoming his huge ego. That is what has held him back more than anything else. It starts by him admitting it was more than injuries.

I agree. He's almost off our roster, and still doesn't seem to admit or understand he's part of the problem. He used to handle the media so well when things were going well, but has just created a mess with the media ever since he got hurt. I always cringe when I see him give news conferences.
