Everytime the game starts and the guys line up for kickoff, this little voice in the back of my head says "we'll be prepared to be kicked square in the nuts for the next 3 hours"
I'm getting tired of this

I blame the players. They obviously can't get what the coaches are teaching. If you get beat fine, that's physical. But to have mental breakdowns like that is just inexcusable at the NFL level. Amerson should be benched. He was clearly not ready to play today. And we all saw that Thomas isn't ready either. Do these guys study and watch film at all?

Amerson showed up late to team meeting, so probably not.
At this point, I don't even think benching proves a point. I bet these dudes are like, "Yeah, right. Bench me and then what? We just lose worse." I wouldn't even be worried about job security if I played for the Redskins because no matter what, whoever is behind me on the depth chart is probably worlds worse than I am.
It's kinda like when D. Hall got injured and the secondary began collapsing. D. Hall is good... Above average, I'd say... But nowhere near elite, but because everyone else on the secondary absolutely blows, it makes losing him look like we lost Richard Sherman or Revis back there.

According to Allen the Redskins have "no gaping holes." I wonder who he would blame.

On defense of Minnifield, this was his first pro game where saw lots of action, he can at least tackle. How did Breeland do on his first couple of games? A lot of what you saw today was due to Andrew Luck being the next great QB and Amerson had a worst game than Minnifield.

What about the people who acquired players who won't study or can't learn? Should we just continue with them? I wouldn't send anyone from our front office to the grocery store - he might come back with spoiled meat.

Raheem Morris works with the secondary every day, so I would start with him.

The secondary was thin as can be coming into today, going up against the #1 passing team in the league. What happened wasn't the least bit surprising.
This thread isn't based on observations from just today's games. I've seen blown coverages all year long. Even when we were healthy in the secondary. I get the Colts are the #1 passing team in the league, and I'm not complaining about slight separation... every ball I expect the replay to show the skins player slipping and falling... but it doesn't.
