Which part?
Our team continuing in Mediocrity and Gruden being out after three seasons
or RG3 eventually being successful at another team
The former is a certainty, the latter is debatable, but I think very possible considering our luck
This part.

Did not see Thomas play but was wondering how he did.
Lots of good things. Two bad things - OLine's pass blocking, RGIII.
O-Line's run blocking was okay but a lot of the yards Morris got were yards he created.
The passing game is simply horrible right now - and it's not b/c of play design or lack of skill by the WR's. Sure, there have been some drops but receivers are open and, significantly more often than not, catches are made when the ball is in the vicinity.
Can't do elite plays with a QB & O-Line that can't do basic sh**.
This is going to be a long five games. If Griffin does not produce or show significant improvement, we will be looking for a QB in the offseason. Trade him to a team that will let him sit and improve and hope to get a 3rd or 4th for him. <sigh>
So, what would be looking at had we just held our ground, drafted Tanehill (and used the other three picks for BPA's)? <double sigh>

I thought QB's were judged on wins? That certainly one of your big critiques of KC. He didn't win games.
Griffin is 0-3 in games started. On top of that he is throwing bad balls, missing open receivers, and holding onto the ball too long.
Colt is 2-0.
So, if the QB is Griffin, it's not all about the wins for you - is it?
Nice!

He didnt blame the players, he blamed the coaches. He said they have to do a better job of simplifying the play calling for the QB and O-Line that they have now. I read that as he recognized that the current players assembled on O dont have the skills to run an NFL caliber offense and the coaches have to adjust better to work with the talent they have.
I think JG has a very strong will to win but is IMO being hampered by having to figure out how to make one player into an NFL QB apparently at the expense of 51 other players.
I agree with this assessment of Gruden's current predicament.
Does he stop trying to instill an NFL passing playbook 11 games into his first HC job and just call the junk that got garcon 113 catches last year (drags, screens, crosses = plays that dont require timing, anticipation or reading a key defender)
or
Does he continue to struggle trying to find a balance of what RG3 can do and still utilizing his playbook. Week in, week out seems like it is trial and error with a lot of fails.
Mcvay was here the last couple years so i imagine he is telling gruden what kinda worked last year...
idk .. tough to ask a rookie HC to swallow his pride and vision and replace it with HS stuff that still wont win but make your star Qb look less horrible .... even if it is a mirage.
It must be obvious by now even to his staunchest supporters that RGIII just can't play QB in this league.
He shouldn't even suit up next week. :Flush:

I dont really know what should be done but what I do know is that this isnt the developmental league, its the NFL. At some point this coach/organization has to decide if it wants to place more emphasis on developing a single player or on winning games because it seems at this point the two are mutually exclusive.

Loved this quote from John Keim regarding the Boldin/Haslett incident:
Anquan Boldin on jawing with Jim Haslett: "I don't even give that a second thought. He's irrelevant."

i think the deciding factor will be what many are saying .... a QB switch will be made when sticking with RG3 will start causing Gruden to lose the locker room ... guys like d jax and garcon will, hopefully, be constructive protesters and not destructive ones.
but .. wasnt gruden's deciding factor with cousins = when another QB gives us a better chance to win.
i just want to play out the year without a locker room blow out. as a fan, i really like watching d jax and want to see him stay for the next few years.

the Pedro martinez response was awesome 10 years ago imo .. now i find it kinda jackassy. like when sherman called garcon irrelevant ..
