Bucs Postgame Threadsevier2 11-17-2014, 03:52 AM To think we almost had Peyton Manning working with the Shannahans and their potent offense back in '11... Skins4L 11-17-2014, 05:19 AM Yea because snyder was the one out there fumbling today. Its not an illusion. Its comes down to 4 quarters on sunday. Skins4L 11-17-2014, 05:23 AM I agree, Griffin would've shut down Mike Evans and rushed the passer. He also would've had some production on punt returns. The problem is coaching. when a team comes back from a bye and plays this bad, it's on the HC. Gruden needs to fix it and have his team prepared. RG3 is our best QB option so get over it. Brady or Manning is not coming to town. Deal with it and fix the team! Good teams win and bad teams lose. It's not on one player. Well said. irish 11-17-2014, 08:04 AM Perfect statement of the way the Redskins played today I dont know, ALFMO said he couldn't see what the fans were booing about. To me the biggest statement in Gruden's post game presser was when he said we have to figure out what RG3 can do well. WOW. kct1975 11-17-2014, 08:18 AM I dont know, ALFMO said he couldn't see what the fans were booing about. I completely agree...how is it that Gruden doesn't know what his Starting QB does well? irish 11-17-2014, 08:55 AM I completely agree...how is it that Gruden doesn't know what his Starting QB does well? I think its because the QB doesn't do anything well at this point. kct1975 11-17-2014, 09:31 AM I think its because the QB doesn't do anything well at this point. LOL! I agree! Chico23231 11-17-2014, 09:37 AM The one person who played with heart and had a great game yesterday, Alfmo, will be one person who will be let go or phased out. Thats how this organization works, we let go of decent talent and focus on guys we will never win with. Im fucking sick of this organization especially from a front office, management and coaching standpoint. WE CANT FUCKING DEVELOP OUR TALENT. SOMEONE IN THE FRONT OFFICE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!!!!! Im tired of talking about our players, sure we lack talent in some areas, BUT EVERY TEAM DOES! Coff 11-17-2014, 09:58 AM First of all, we're not this bad. We played well the last five weeks, despite going 2-3 in that span (consider the teams we played: Cowboys, the 9-1 Cardinals, the SB Champion Seahawks). So it's a good time to remember we're never as bad as we look the day after a bad loss, nor are we as good as we look the day after a big win. Secondly, the Griffin-bashing needs to be put into perspective. Yesterday's game included three false start penalties on receivers, numerous occasions when (once again) the secondary strangely didn't cover receivers, a cornerback trip and fall on what should have been an easy pick-six, a red zone fumble, a bizarre pass drop/flip on a routine reception that led to an interception, two missed field goals, etc. I challenge anyone here to find a loss that was such a complete team effort as this one was. So stop blaming one guy for this loss. And remember this, when we do finally run RGIII out of town, the next guy will be no better, just as the previous 17 QBs have not been any better. I understand the psychological need to focus all frustration and anger on one area (in this case QB), because it offers an easily fixable solution, but we do need to ask ourselves whether our team always sucks because our QBs suck, or whether we can never develop decent QBs because our team is dysfunctional and incompetent. Coff 11-17-2014, 09:59 AM That said, why not mention a few of the positives? Defensively, this team has played a lot better this year. Hatcher was a great signing, and Amerson and Breeland (despite a lot of rookie hiccups) have played well. Free agent signings have been more successful of late as they have in the past. Think about Hatcher, Djax, Garcon. In the past our big free agent signings have been disastrous. Lately they've been stronger. And we've been finding some talent in the limited draft picks we've had (Breeland, Morris, Williams, etc.). I think if you look closely, you'll see that the talent evaluation on this team has improved over the past few years. That might take a long time to translate into wins (and with this team, there's a good chance it never will), but there are a few bright spots to find here. |
