So true, more real change needed

Jay Gruden wins over Dan Snyder, Bruce Allen on Griffin, but he must push for more - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/jay-gruden-wins-over-dan-snyder-bruce-allen-on-griffin-but-he-must-push-for-more/2014/11/26/cdb888ee-7529-11e4-a755-e32227229e7b_story.html)

Amen. This is what I'm been saying, bruce is not a personnel guy and we need someone top notch in there running the scouting department. I'm just baffled by the lack of acknowledgment by the organization to realize this.

The die is cast. Hats of to Jay Gruden for having the balls to do this. If this works out it will go a long way to righting the ship in the long run. Lets see what happens.

I agree. But Bruce filled the personnel power vacuum left over by Shanahan and personally I see no signs that he will voluntarily give up his self-chosen role. Ugh.

If Colt looks bad then what?

Than I guess the season is over....oh wait it has been over since Griff made his comeback.
The QB position will be addressed in the offseason one way or another, and there will be a new QB starting for this team next year.

I believe in Gruden. He's sitting in a situation he never would have imagined when signing on here and he's handling it well, as much as people don't believe.

He's exactly what the Redskins as a franchise need.

He's not going to let a QB, who's been in the league less than 3 years, run his team.

He's not going to allow anybody who misses team meetings (Amerson) to play on Sunday. Even if we're hurting at that position.

He's also not guaranteeing anybody a job because they're starters this year. Each and every player on this roster is going to EARN their spot. (Seattle anybody??)

We finally have a coach who is going to set the tone and get his players to respect and buy in to HIM. This is a team sport and he's not going to allow any players to rise above that fact.

Anybody who wants to get rid of Gruden needs to realize that this is what we've done for the past 15 years and where are we? We FINALLY have a competent coach who can motivate (the right) players. Getting rid of him starts yet ANOTHER rebuild which we don't need.

We need consistency and cohesiveness. Gruden can establish that.

And this is the 2nd coach to come to the same conclusion on RG3. It's not the system and its not the injuries. He can't see the field and has no pocket awareness. The rest of the team is playing for their futures and pay checks, and RG3 has been holding them back. Gruden had to do something to prevent an all out revolt.

Ummm...Colt McCoy has ALREADY looked good.
Didnt you guys watch those games?

I'm not saying he's "we are all set at QB" good.
But good enough to finish this clusternut of a season.

The real questions is, who starts next year?
