Bangee7 12-02-2014, 08:31 PM I just noticed that Colt McCoy is 2nd to only the great Aaron Rodgers in QB Rating, with players having at least 75 throws. #1- Rodgers: 118.6 #2- McCoy: 113.5 Some notables behind McCoy are.... Peyton Manning (108), Tony Romo (106), Andrew Luck (103), Drew Bees (102) (maybe you've heard of them!) I was really surprised :) And for completeness, Cousins (86.4%) and Griffin (85.7%) were both well down the list. I was not as surprised by that :( calia 12-02-2014, 10:54 PM So what if Colt pulls out 4 wins so we finish 7-9? Not likely i know, but would there be any question that the 6 wins attributed to him the season would make him next year's presumptive starter? Would that seal RGIII's fate with the Redskins? RG is already good as gone tho. hutch17 12-03-2014, 11:29 AM I am starting to think that this team plans on Starting Colt the rest of this year and potentially next year and training Kirk and then having him as the long term future, we will get whatever we can for RG3 and that looks to be a 3rd at best. I am perfectly happy with that plan and is we get really lucky and Colt is a late bloomer then so be it. mredskins 12-03-2014, 11:35 AM I am starting to think that this team plans on Starting Colt the rest of this year and potentially next year and training Kirk and then having him as the long term future, we will get whatever we can for RG3 and that looks to be a 3rd at best. I am perfectly happy with that plan and is we get really lucky and Colt is a late bloomer then so be it. So we are willing to hitch our wagon to a potential late blooming Colt but give up on a possible late blooming RGIII; who by the way has more talent in his pinkie then all of Colt's talent combined. Might as well at least hang onto RGIII next year; he is under contract, cheap and has the potential to be a super star. Plus they way this team drafts; extra draft picks are never a sure thing. donofriose 12-03-2014, 11:47 AM So we are willing to hitch our wagon to a potential late blooming Colt but give up on a possible late blooming RGIII; who by the way has more talent in his pinkie then all of Colt's talent combined. Problem is they would have to decide in May if they wanted to keep him that 5th year. VTSkins1961 12-03-2014, 12:16 PM I would not pick up th 5'th option and see where he is at at the end of next year and make an offer to keep hi according to how how much (if at all) he has progressed. Or at the very least possibly trade him during the season to a qb needy team and get whatever I could for him Problem is they would have to decide in May if they wanted to keep him that 5th year. I agree. Right now RGIII will not offer much in trade. Might as well keep him one more year and hope he wakes up. Colt and Kirk are both career backups. Any talk of riding either of them as the starter next year is foolish. Hog1 12-03-2014, 12:48 PM ]I agree[/B]. Right now RGIII will not offer much in trade. Totally...the kid is gifted physically....even post injuries. He is very bright and a great spokesman for the team. Hopefully, he can redirect himself and plow himself into becoming......"the best he can be". And if not....we tried...really sorry Robert....wtf |
