Yup. We're better than some think.
Then again, sadly it is often safer to presume the worst and then be pleasantly surprised.
We're not better than some think.
We're worse than everybody, we're rock bottom, Jags/Raiders bad...
And there's absolutely no light at the end of this tunnel. This is as dark as it has been in a long, long time.

My expectations are we suck and will continue to suck. There's a lot of blame to go around......I think they just need to get a more younger team.......the offensive line needs to be rebuilt.....every lineman with the exception of Trent Williams is garbage.....Ryan Clark, while being a great leader, is as old as dirt.....we need two young safeties to partner with Amerson, and Breeland...I'm beginning to question trading RG3. We have to build a young team somehow.....

Bye week or not, if we can't look good against the Bucs then we're in much worse shape than we thought
^This! Guess we are firmly planted there.

Last year 3-13 with a first place schedule. This year we are 3-7 with a 4th place schedule and arguably a very easy schedule overall. My expectation was to improve on last year in terms of play and wins and losses. At this juncture I my expectations are that I hope we can identify quality talent currently on the team and somehow accrue some more draft picks.

This team has many, many problems...but I believe there is only one thing to look at in the remaining games. Something will have to give in these final games this year between Gruden's offense and RGIII. Clearly RGIII is not thriving in Gruden's offense. We have all seen RGIII play well in the past, even though it was 2 years ago basically....and Snyder will not give up on him as quickly as he will give up on Gruden. If Gruden cannot tweak his offense to help RGIII play better, I believe Gruden will be let go...either after this season, or in the middle of next season.

If Snyder won't give up on Griffin, and he ends up being a bust. Then Snyder is just as bad as we think he is.

Snyder is as bad as we think. He should do like the character George Costanza on the Seinfeld show and try doing everything the opposite way that his gut tells him to do it. It worked for George.

Unfortunately you were right about Mike Evans.

<sigh>
My expectations at this point are that I will spend my Sundays doing something other than watching the Skins. The pathetic nature of this team, top down, is mind numbing.
We will not win at SF or Indy. We may get a win against one of our division foes - may! But the teams' play against Minnesota and TBay offer no hope for any more victories.
Been a fan since '72, planned my Sundays around Skins football, was energized by Gibbs '80's teams. Now, two decades of constant losing with flashes of mediocrity have worn me down. Was hoping things would turn around so my 12 year-old son would "catch the fever," but losing hope for that as we are in the middle of Ravens country and last thing a middle school kid needs is one more reason to be picked on by his peers.
Deeply, deeply depressed about the state of my fandom.

This is perhaps the saddest thing. I posted early on Sunday morning that I had never cared so little about a Redskins game in my 35 years of being a fan. Since I was 7 years old! It was not a poor sport, anger induced , rant. It was the truth. I literally have no passion whatsoever to root or care about this team anymore. I certainly would never root for another one, so its as if football and me are on the outs. Its so sad.
