Philip Thomas has been signed, Geathers waived.

I hope they bring Geathers back... I was hoping he could grown into something. I've liked him so far in his limited use.

We don't need Geathers because we have Frank "The Destroyer" Kearse. :)

Welcome back, PT. Now get on the doggone field!

I hope to see what we have in Phillip Thomas. I was a big proponent of drafting him.

Yay! I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he's been healthy for a while now, just waiting for a shot. Stay healthy, PT...

Did we miss Kearse and Rakpo. Our run defense fell off. Orakpo was a good run defender. Murphy still learning.

My hope:

Phillip Thomas is to Ryan Clark as K. Robinson is to L. Fletcher.

My hope:

Phillip Thomas is to Ryan Clark as K. Robinson is to L. Fletcher.

So a significant upgrade? Because that would be lovely.

I admit, I was one of the "L. Fletcher's leadership value compensates for his loss of a step" crowd. First, it wasn't the loss of A step; it was the loss of several. Second, K. Robinson's play cured me of that view.

Better to have a quality player who makes plays than a quality veteran leader who doesn't. Clark brings something to the table, just not enough to compensate for his chasing TE's into the endzone.
