This has the feel of a trap game -- after a big, emotional win on the road, playing a team that isn't strong and that we ought to beat, a week before the break.... I think that how the team responds and plays throughout will say a lot about how Gruden is handling his first HC job in the NFL.

My guess is that the team is ready to play and that while there are some cringe-worthy moments, we'll pull away in the end.

I think Haslett learned he can trust his rookie corner and his 2nd year corner Amerson after Monday night. With that bit of knowledge, he should be able to continue to disguise his blitzes the way he wants to in order to keep another rookie Teddy Bridgewater guessing. <snip>

I hope you're right, but I have my doubts. Did you see our defense after Weeden came in? Haslett totally went away from the aggressive rush and basically said, "Okay, we're going to make this backup QB prove he can beat my secondary." And that's exactly what happened. I love Amerson and Breeland, but not only are they still young, but the safeties behind them are mediocre on a good day. Haslett needs to go up against every QB with the mindset that that QB will destroy his secondary if given time(because he probably will), and then bring the dogs to counter that. IMO.

Huh? We were blitzing to the end.

Not when Weeden was in. Once Romo came back, we started blitzing again.

Watch the game again. Not true.

I am less concerned with blitzing and the passing game than I am about stopping the run. We didn't do that well at all v. Dallas, and while we're not facing a back as good as Murray this week, the Vikes run game has been pretty good. And Zimmer is smart enough to know that if the run is working, stick with it. I cannot believe how stupid Garrett was about that. I don't see Zimmer making that mistake, especially given the tape from Monday night. If we can contain the run and force Teddy B. to throw, I like our chances a lot. He's thrown a number of picks and has been sacked a lot. We have to be disciplined and stay in run lanes. I'd also like to see more from our D-line; they were pretty quiet on Monday. Hatcher needs to step up his presence. Bowen and Baker too.

I seem to remember laying off the blitz heavily when Weeden came in. Thought they even talked about it. I remember I asked for us to blitz him strait to hell in the gameday thread and being disappointed? Could be mistaken.

Like u mentioned Murray is pretty damn good. The best actually. On top of that their passing game is lacking so I think we can key heavily on the run - especially with our new found trust in the young cb's.

I dont think Murrays that good,he's ok but it bothers me he's breaking Jim Browns record. The guy is nowhere close to being as good as Brown,Dickerson,Payton,Sanders etc.Hell,I dont think he's as good as Morris. His offensive line and a lot of carries are getting him his yards.

I think one reason the skins want RG3 in there now instead of after the bye is to avoid a qb controversy as much as possible IMO.If Colt was to start and have another good game and we win it would start a fire,by playing RG3 its nipped in the bud before it can get momentum.

We lost last year to the Vikings with Griffin and Morris getting 139 yards, and they started Ponder! So this wont be easy,it will be easy to have a letdown after the Dallas game.
Any why are we playing the Vikings for the 3rd year in a row? WTF
