KI Skins Fan 10-14-2014, 02:01 PM It's the defense, the offense, Special Teams, poor players, poor play calling, lack of turnovers, a weak offensive line, poor QB play, lack of adjustments, failure to convert third downs, a rookie HC, weak coordinators, poor drafting, plain old choking, lack of vitamin D, and lastly injuries. The truth is we suck at just about everything!
There are no micro solutions to each of these problems that will add up to fixing the whole organization. Fixing an entire organization requires strong leadership. Do we have the right leaders in place, or not? That is the overriding question. We'll find out soon enough.
If he is related to the McVay football family that worked in Tampa Bay, that is all that is required of him. We are now Tampa Bay North, as if the Bucs have won anything in this century.
Note to Bruce Allen:
The Redskins are not a ****ing coaching family reunion!!!
This is what bothers me. We have become a "good Ole boy" team.
We need to hire the best person for the job not payback favors.

What does Doug Williams do exactly?
SFREDSKIN 10-14-2014, 02:37 PM Sean McVay is the grandson of John McVay one time 49er GM during the 80's responsible for drafting and acquiring Steve Young, Rice, Lott, Haley, Craig, etc.
Lotus 10-14-2014, 02:43 PM There is plenty to dislike about Haslett. I am not giving him a pass.
But to be fair, since DHall went down we don't have anyone who can really stick to #1 receivers. This is a really hard problem to scheme around.
The defense played well until DHall went down and then hasn't played all that well since.

While it may be a hard problem to scheme around, name me the top shutdown corners in Dallas and Philly. They don't have them, they adapt their scheme to their talent. You spent a 2nd round pick on Amerson to make him a top corner, put him in position to do so. Breeland is developing, put him in positions to succeed.
While DHall being out hurts the defense, it shouldn't cripple the other 10 players remaining. Haslett's defensive calls are pretty bad and have been forever.

I think our ineffective offense is crippling the defense more than DHall's injury. We are at the bottom of the league in 3rd down conversion percentage; it's funny that you mentioned Dallas, they are first in the league in 3rd down conversion.

That doesn't even seem possible since we have Alfmo and a bunch of good receivers (heavy sigh).

He needs to take what Tony Peters did to our offense last week and apply it to his defense. Do not ask Biggers, Breeland, Riley and the two slowest safety's in the NFL to cover for a long period of time. He needs to start all out blitzing a lot more, make the QB get rid of the ball quicker and ask them to tackle. Obviously asking them to cover with a 4-5 man rushes won't work. It's proven it won't work.
Bucket 10-14-2014, 04:17 PM So much wrong with this thread. We dont need to blow everything up but since day 1 its been about how far this offensive line will take us. We are seeing it now....
Really need to upgrade the whole right side.
