Here is my list of fixins:
Fire Haz - its message sending time. Promote someone from within on a trial basis and if need be address for real in the offseason.
As many others have said make BA strictly a $ guy. First order of business in the offseason is to find a true GM with an eye for talent.
Give Almo the effin ball.
Make sure at all costs Rak does not sign!
Draft Oline and DB's ONLY.
Hit on a couple key free agents - focus on the front 7 ONLY. We do not need rb's, wr's, k's, p's.
If they do all of this, and wait for it.........RG-3 can be RG-3 when he comes back (God that is thee biggest issue...again) than this team has a chance to not suck for years to come.
I really do expect all of this to happen, I just dont see how it cannot.
Edit: except Griff I mean. That is out of anybodies control. The rest of the stuff is all possible it just has to be carried out.

Time for haslet to go

I'm not sure that Haslett is the long term answer, but you can't say (with a straight face) that the defense is the biggest problem right now.

This game shouldn't have even been close, let alone a loss. Put this one on all things offense, but mostly KC and his poor performance for 75% of the game.

Redskins fans love to blame a single person and ignore other bigger issues like the turnovers on offense, the lack of a running game, the lack of depth/inexperience on defense, and the injuries.

<snip> Players need to start making plays both big and small. I'm sick and tired of seeing wideouts dropping key passes (Roberts), defensive players dropping INTs (Orakpo in the AZ game, Breeland in the Philly game, etc., etc.), and Cousins throwing mind boggling INTs.

Aside from the Giants game, the Redskins are not getting blown out of the water (as they should be given our roster). Coaches and players just need to get their heads out of their asses and get their act together.

This! Outside of Jackson and occasionally Kerrigan and Trent Williams, no one on this team is making plays. We're constantly in situations where a play needs to be made to give us momentum or a huge score, but for whatever reason we never come up with them. Can't win like that.

I think it was Ryan Clark (I love this guy's quotes, very honest) who said that our players seem to try to find ways to not lose, instead of trying to find ways to win. That seems like a great way to put it.

It just feels like we're so close. If we could string a few wins together, maybe we could get some momentum and perhaps start playing better. I think some of us (including me) have deluded ourselves into thinking this roster is more talented than it really is, but I honestly don't think we're 3-13 bad. We just need guys to step up and make plays and start playing with an attitude. If you feel good, you play good. Unfortunately I think a lot of our players feel like losers.

I can't wait for Griffin to come back.

Didnt get to see the game, just finished watching the 30 minute game rewind.
From my observations I thought the defense played pretty good. They got so close to sacking Palmer several times but just couldnt close the deal.3 guys had Palmer sacking him and he still got the pass off.
Morris does not look slow to me,he looks as good as he ever has,Morris is not the problem,if he was behind Dallas's line he would be tying Jim Browns record also.
Didnt look like a fumble by Roberts, bad call
Terrible call on the pass interference on Breeland
Defense kept us in the game and Cousins took us out of it

Defensive rankings based on yards are worthless IMO. I think right now we're middle of the pack in terms of defensive rankings based on yards, but are dead last in points (which is more important). So while we're not giving up a ton of yards, we're giving up points.

We're also dead last in giveaways/takeways (-9), with a whopping 13 giveaways and only 4 takeways.

Players need to start making plays both big and small. I'm sick and tired of seeing wideouts dropping key passes (Roberts), defensive players dropping INTs (Orakpo in the AZ game, Breeland in the Philly game, etc., etc.), and Cousins throwing mind boggling INTs.

Good post. Seemed that way to me, too. Helps to watch the game a few days later. If I had watched it live I would have thrown my TV through the plate glass window. Bottom line: we had FOUR turnovers in the 4th quarter! That's the stat that matters.

One thing I do know because I've seen it several times before in the NFL: A new DC can make a big difference in a short period of time if the change is made during the season.

HOWEVER, isn't Haslett close with Jay Gruden? Didn't Gruden play for him or coach under him or something? Is Haslett the Gruden family's adopted uncle? I don't know the exact relationship but I don't get the feeling that Jay would be willing to make a change of DC's anytime soon.

Besides, wasn't the bad defense under Shanahan really Shanny's fault because he wouldn't let Haslett "turn loose" the pass rushers?

Regardless of what happened during Haslett's years under Shanahan, I can't explain away the remaining decades of his mediocrity as a DC. Perhaps it was due to global warming.
