I would mind it salary-cap wise.

You know what I would like to see? Ramsey having a season where 1) defenders 2) Brunell or 3) a rookie quarterback are not breathing down his neck and see how he reacts.

FRPLG:

Cooley needs to become twice as good as a blocker as he showed last year. He was marginal in that phase of the game at best. If I were being unkind, I'd say he was pretty miserable in his contributions to the running game.

For some reason - maybe it's Cooley not continuing to work on his routes or maybe it's Ramsey/Brunell not having a good rapport with Cooley - he was either the first option on a route or he never got the ball. A tight end has to be one of those "workers" who sometimes gets the ball - and often a first down - when a play designed for others breaks down. I didn't see Cooley in that role much - if at all - last year.

I suspect Cooley can improve in both areas, but IF he can't or won't, then the Redskins need another TE.

It's good to know that the draft is only a couple days away. Can we get a timer countdown going on the homepage? Oh, I forgot Matty 'Jones' is on his honeymoon. :oink:

I agree but Campbell is not liked around here i would rather see him go somewhere he would be liked wouldnt be fare to him god forbid he performs like PR has the last few years. can you name any other QB giving more of a chance i mean sheesh you cant win the starting job in camp? let's be realistic either you got it or you dont. the more i think about it the more Ramsey reminds me of Gus Ferrotte. sorry fellas but i am being real.

Regarding Cooley. He doesn't seem to play as tall or as big as he's listed. He has a lot of finesse. :oink:

These people are only human. I don't know how I WOULD react if I was granted the starting nod only to be replaced by Brunell (which we all knew was coming anyway) in camp. These people aren't made of stone psychologically and it can't be good for the confidence of Ramsey to basically have a figurative "one last shot" to get it done this year.

No doubt. With our constant inconsistant line play maybe a qb that is mobile can help. I like P. Ramsey, his heart is unbelievable. But I do not feel he is the qb that can get us to a championship. Campbell would bring a weapon we haven't had in a very very long time.

I think Ramsey is better than Campbell in every aspect of the game except for his mobility. AND we're forgetting the most important thing that Ramsey HAS played in the NFL. #25 pick on a QB when we really don't need one.

Jeez, this has really gotten out of hand.
