Blaming the brawl is a stretch. These are professional athletes and they just pretty much pushed each other for a minute.
it's not like each guy went 5 rounds with Jon Jones.

With a perfectly healthy team, we still suck.
Morris and Haslett have got to go.

Uncle. You're right.

I still believe in letting the season play out before passing any judgments. But yeah, the thing for the past few years was "Shanny didn't let Haslett run the defense his way."

Well then Haslett you better produce better results now that it's your show, or you're out. One good defensive effort against Jax isn't enough.

I've noticed more injuries all over the NFL. Kansas City has been decimated by injuries, so have the Rams. You can make that argument, but I feel that I've seen more injuries throughout the league this year than any other year.

I think people are trying to get something out of nothing by trying to blame injuries on someone. Maybe if the NFL would allowed for larger rosters, you could rotate players more at certain positions and reduce injuries.a larger roster wouldnt have helped us. Our first string d line couldnt get a good pash rush against the eagles 2nd string ol. I agree with you on one point, ppl are using injuries as a scapegoat here.

I get it, Giants were on a short week too, but a big brawl like that takes a ton out of you. You can't condition yourself for something like that in training camp.

Besides, by all accounts Gruden had the team doing a lot of hitting so that should not have been an issue.

Ultimately we didn't execute and it was turnovers that were the problem more than anything. But you could see we didn't have the get-off at the snap on either side of the ball.every normal play in the nfl is a brawl. For us and the giants. Ok maybe the giants had it easier than us last night, :( but not last weekend. And we were the home team. Theres hitting, and theres endurance workouts.

I didn't say that people are using injuries as a scapegoat, but that you can't blame injuries happening solely on the team. Injuries happen for a myriad of reasons, you can't say "oh it's the team's fault" bs.

I think larger rosters help the team rotate players in the trenches. Hell, with a larger active roster, we could have Moses sub in for Polumbus, so he can get real time game experience. The Giants rotated a lot of bodies on their D-line last night, meanwhile we were stuck with the same three interior guys it seems.

Our secondary was playing a lot of coverage with their back to the qb.

What was going to happen against a 2 time super bowl winning qb without a pass rush. Not saying more zone would have worked. It's how we are built.

With the lack of pressure from a tired (short week), thin d line and back ups playing nickle, I don't know what else to expect. Porter hasn't had reps, bree looked like a rookie.

Almost as disturbing as last nights outcome is the realization that I agree with S10.
But WTF you gonna do.....let it play out and take a brutal accounting of players and coaches during that time. Work to improve and develop a competitive killer...never quit mentality. Guys that fall on the good side of the line (and coaches) stay. Those that do not...start working them out.
I do not mind losing (except I hate losing) and go down competitively fighting. But we got whipped like a bunch of dogs........shameful. We got man-handled and if they have any heart at all, our guys should literally be ashamed.
Move forward and make steady progress.....just...sigh.....tired of the "Groundhog Day" team....

What's the deal with Reed? Can this dude get through one full game w/out getting hurt? Add TE to the list next year. Can not count on him at all.

The "no legs" factor is also going unnoticed. We expended so much energy in that Eagles game between the pace, the physical nature, and the big brawl. I don't think we had any legs.

But yeah, injuries are killing us and boneheaded play too. Polumbus is just physically overmatched, and the secondary looks like it's being coached poorly, especially Meriweather looks like he needs to relearn the pop warner basics.

I would agree with this. That game was draining both physically and emotionally.

Yeah but we're a below average team with 17 players listed in the injury report. Once again, the team's sorry ass performance is inexcusable, but it is hard to ignore the injuries.

We must be leading the body count out of all teams in the NFL right now.
