Everything. The end.
Other then this board I can't think of one positive reason to be a Redskins fan anymore.
This franchise just plain blows.

OL , QB and coverage . This team needs a RT , RG and either a S / SS that is a threat in coverage . I think we will be ok at corner . We should have a top 5 pick , so we should have our choice of Top Tackles and DB's .

The defense is atrocious, how does Haslett keep his job?

Cousins pretty much doomed the young secondary and the defense. If your QB throws 4 INTs, your defense will not look good. Giving the opposing offenses good filed position and leaving your defense with no rest. We need to figure out how to stop the seam route. We need to get Moses coached up. We need to teach Cousins some intestinal fortitude (can you teach that?). RG3 would have taken the punishment and taken the responsibility on his self. RG3 does no throw passes up for grabs because he is under pressure. I noticed in the Eagles game when Cousins got hit or sacked. He looked terrified, he had the look of horror. RG3 took a lot of hits but that is better than throwing picks.

Cousins 4 INTS is why the defense looked so bad.
I forgot about the 2 fumbles.

Coaching, offense, defense, fans(or lack there of), special teams, uniforms. Other than those minor issues I think this team is on the verge of something really horrible. TGIF

My issue remains that there appears to be an overall inability by the FO, to draft accordingly and logically, in a manner which alolows the team to be competitive at the very least. The current crop of rookies being a perfect example.
Now, let me say first of all I’m not blaming them as players. The team picked them after all, through what I can only presume was diligent scouting over time. But it’s the decision making process applied to areas of weakness that has me genuinely concerned going forward more than anything.
Trent Murphy, was drafted because what can be perceived as the team pre-empting Orakpo’s contract situation, and viewing him as a potential replacement, yes? Is he an upgrade on Rak? I guess nobody really knows at this stage. Thing is though, why was the FO trying to be smart by (a) not only taking an OLB in a position where, at the time (and now) it isn’t a priority and (b) trading down in the process? In doing so, someone like Joel Bitonio, who I was pretty high on closer the draft (I hold my hands up that I also said David Yankey would have been a wise investment here lol) could have been had, and could have made a considerable difference on an offensive line which has had its problems for too long, and clearly the FO felt this way also by taking Spencer Long in the 3rd. But that in itself underlines further what I’m getting at. Guard was a something of a priority, and yet they draft an OLB?!
I mean, I know the draft is a lottery regardless of where a team is picking, but I guess what I’m saying is it’s so damn frustrating because I just feel that this team isn’t in a position to be cute when given the opportunity to rebuild in a manner which allows genuinely stable foundations to be laid. Instead, what we seemingly have then is a handful of talented individuals on both sides of the ball, but not enough that they’re capable of making any one particular unit on this team a strength.
My question then is, and without turning this into a draft/FA debate after only 4 games, but honestly, which of the many average-poor units on the team should be addressed first? And by addressing, do we go properly all in instead of a solitary plaster (*band-aid*) solution to a deep wound?
Lastly, and yes, it’s likely naive on my part, but do perennial underachievers like ourselves get better by, again focusing on one area, say the offensive line, and investing say a high draft pick in each of the first 2 rounds, whilst perhaps surviving in other areas, say the secondary for another season by being patient until the next opportunity to address it in a similar manner? Or is that maybe just soccer guy not understanding the logistics of the NFL lol (I’ll accept it if it is)?
Again, apologies for simplifying the problem and focusing on all things draft etc when things run much deeper than that. I just look at it as something this franchise either doesn’t seem to get, or simply doesn’t seem to hit on (can anyone be that unlucky really though?).
