For all the talk about how much better Cousins sees the field than Griffin, he sure misses a lot of open receivers. He locked onto Grant on that first INT, while either Garcon or Roberts(I think Garcon, not sure) was running open deep and the defensive back hadn't even turned around yet. That's an easy completion and maybe even a long TD with a good throw, but instead Cousins locks onto a covered receiver and throws a bad pass. The result is predictable.
Griffin has only had a 2 INT game twice, and he's never thrown more than 2. I'll give Cousins a few more games before I haul out the pitchfork, but it's well documented by now that he doesn't protect the ball as well as Griffin.
I read that on NFL.com yesterday. It doesn't endorse that Griffin is a franchise QB it just says a bit more about where Cousins is.
