Sayeth Herm Edwards: "You play to win the game."
Rooting for the team to lose is like intentionally marrying the wrong woman so that the later divorce will be less painful.
Not always.
There are times when its strategically wise to lose a battle (or even multiple ones) in order to win a war.
Throwing your resources away in pointless endeavors is foolishness

Nobody is trading anything for Cousins.
I will give you a swiss army knife in exchange for a date with one of your female cousins?

Your argument is invalid because nobody at Redskins Park would for one second entertain the thought of losing on purpose. Nor should they.

Worked for the Colts. Just saying. Who in turn stole the man who should have been our franchise QB.
The Colts did not lose on purpose. They lost because they sucked.

Since you are new here, I'll help you out: This is a Redskins board, not a Cowboys board.
Since, like a Cowboys fan, you root for the Redskins to lose, I suggest you go to a Cowboys board to be with your own kind.

The QB situation is pretty shaky. It is now obvious last year's Cousins was the real one as with many QBs they do good in their first few starts until slowly they get a film history and defensive coordinators start finding flaws. You know what you have with McCoy he played well, but that won't last. At least Griffin won't be looking over his shoulder when he comes back, but who is the real RG3? Was his rookie success just due to defenses taking time to adjust to his game? He is only 24 but already missed significant time with injuries in 3 seasons between college and pro. He seems much better as a dual threat QB than a pocket passer, but will his body hold up?
