So evidently there are a number of QBs who suffered a lot of injuries early on in their careers and bounced back to be franchise QBs. What might present more challenges for RGIII than for some of those other QBs are the nature of the injuries he's suffered combined with his style of play. Much of his game is predicated on mobility; he's now had two knee reconstructions and pretty serious ankle injury. If this causes him to lose a step, lateral quickness, agility, etc., then he will be playing without his best attributes. I'd much prefer he'd torn his labrum into little pieces. That being said, it's foolish at this point to consider him finished.

FORESHADOWING? Are you saying Robert's career has gone the way of James Gandolfini? D E A D?

No...n...no. It is not a thing you can comprehend! (http://youtu.be/wisHcuBzTCM?t=27s) Actually I just trying to think who would be the worst possible choice to play RG3 in a movie....you know for the lulz....because after all if I'm not providing lulz around here I'm pretty much useless as a member.

DAMN YOU SUBCONCIOUS!!!!!

If KC can do what he did against the Jax, against a quality team, I'm all for it. I'm just holding on to see how KC does against a competent team that gameplans against him.

OH and before I forget. Thou shalt not use KC to shorthand Kirk Cousins anymore. I am TIRED of thinking someone is talking about the Kansas City football team when they are in fact talking about our beloved Captain Kirk!

I read the post above and I can't help but wonder when did the Chiefs play the Jags. My brain only has one room in slot one for the KC abbreviation and right now it is reserved for the Chiefs. Not even the city mind you rather just the football team.

Bro when I first saw your post I proceeded to write a 24.5 page single spaced thesis, using 8pt comic sans concerning my thoughts on the Jags-Chiefs game. Only to learn that not only was there no Jags-Chiefs game but that you were in fact talking about Capt. Kirk.

I am only trying to protect future victims who suffer from the same compulsive BS thesis disease that I suffer from.

Anyone know whether Jordan Reed is likely to play v. the Eagles this weekend? It occurs to me that the Redskins-Eagles rivalry is now the most important in the division. I think the Giants are a pretty flawed team and won't reach .500, and I think Dallas has such signficant problems on D that they won't be any better. The Eagles are the team to beat in our division, and the way Chip Kelly has them playing, that may be true for some time (the Spoles/McCoy combo is pretty scary for opposing defenses -- if they upgrade at the WR position next year....) The Eagles D has some flaws, but they will score a lot of points. I hope Reed is available to us even though Paul did well in reserve last week.

I would think a franchise QB would have more value than minimal to none. I bet when the season is all said and done Cousins would have more trading value than RG3 and the smart folks at Redskins park will be apt to trade Cousins instead of cutting their losses with RG3.

Commitment bias (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commitment_bias) is a hell of a drug.

Actually, this is one of your better posts. It is also the complete opposite of what. I was saying earlier in the thread. I respect the commitment bias argument, but I don't think we can definitively say that going with Cousins is the better course of action, even if he plays very very well. Also, I think the advantage of staying with RG3 is that (provided Cousins has a good to great season) we can trade Cousins and still draft a backup plan for Griffin. We will not have that option of we cut our losses with Griffin.

Bottom line is this..trust your eyes! There were many plays in the Jax game that KC made that Im not sure RGIII would have..sure Robert would have showed more athletic ability..he would have ran more..BUT ..how about the reads and the quick throws KC made ..I trust my eyes and it tells me that Kirk has a firm understanding of this offense and given proper protection can lead this team to wins..only time will tell and I look forward to RGIII getting back to 100% it can only be a good thing for the Redskins to have 2 good QB's!

Sure seemed that way. Damn shame. The thing is:

1. It was the Jags.

2. It was Kirk Cousins turn-around game too. (see 1)
