Our future at QB just got a lot more cloudy. It will be interesting to see what Cap'n Kirk does with his chance.

We waited 20 years for our franchise QB only to find out that, like some mail, he has a "Do Not Bend" warning label.

No I really dont think you have a QB situation if Kirk leads the team to the playoffs. The decision will be made

Easier said than done.

I don't see any situation outside of the Skins winning it all this year where it will be an easy decision.

Griffin is the big name, and he will probably still have his share of supporters behind the scenes (mainly Snyder).

It's a complicated situation with a lot of variables at play.

Cousins is not going to stay here if he believes it's still 'Griffin's team.' He thinks he's a legit starter in this league, and he's probably right. He thinks he can be a franchise QB somewhere.

He's not going to stay here to be a backup. Period. It has nothing to do with liking it here or not, and everything to do with whether he believes he has a legit shot at winning the starting job.

We can make Griffin stay here for his 5th year because we control his rights. We don't have that option with Cousins.

As for the media... they're going to keep writing about it as long as people keep clicking on the links.

Wise apparently wrote an article this morning (I didn't read it, fuck Mike Wise, but they talked about it on the Monday Morning QB Show) saying that the 'dirty secrete' is the coaching staff has liked Cousins more all along.

That kind of garbage will keep getting play as long as people keep reading it. It's unfortunate, but the media is driven by ratings/clicks/ad money and that's it.

So... prepare yourself for a long season of Cousins vs Griffin bullshit.

We don't know what the coaches think behind closed doors. I'm sure some want KC and some want RG3. Does Wise have a legit source?

Yeah, it depends.

If he's a game managing QB then I'll still be curious what the team looks like with Griffin. I won't want to settle for a game manager that lets the rest of the team win he game.

If he looks good... if he looks like a comfortable qb that can make big plays and more importantly make smart plays on a regular basis...

Well. Then Griffin is relegated to backup duty :)

Is producing 41 points what you call game management?

On a side note, wow what a breath of fresh air Gruden is...No bullshit drama like the Shanny's had last year. Straight shooter and I think him and Bruce are on the same page. I think if Kirk has a chance to succeed, its only due to Gruden and Sean. good to see

Yeah one thing we've seen from KC is he's not going to be a guy who's checking the ball down and playing it safe. I don't think we have to worry about that.

Someone already sent this to me this morning. Of course he has no sources its bullshit...all of it. Zero facts to any of his arguement

Yup. It is undeniable that RGIII has superior physical tools which must be taken into account in a long-term analysis. And he was (slowly) starting to get the whole pocket passer thing.

That first ball to DJax (the terrible call) traveled 60 yards in the air. Cap'n Kirk can't do that.

It doesn't matter anyway, before the injury they were going to play RG3, now they are going to play KC. That's what we know. What we don't know is, will KC continue to put up these numbers? Given our luck, I doubt it, but I'm really really hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Gruden's got to make sure he treads carefully though. Breath of fresh air in the short term to call out players. But there will be times he needs to absorb all the blame-Gibbs style-deserved or not
