I think we're close enough to the draft to start quantifying our interest in certain players. So assuming we stay at #9 who should we take?

Redskins_P 04-14-2005, 11:49 AM After reading todays article in the Post, I was very pleased to hear what Pac-Man said about wanting to be a Redskin. To me, and I bet most of us here that means a lot. Yes, he's a bit undersized at 5'11 187, but lets remember that Darrel Green was smaller than that and he turned out to be great Redskin/future HOFamer. But if we choose to go with Rogers or Rolle, I'll be happy. I also wouldn't mind drafting Williamson, but at #9 that might be to high. TheMalcolmConnection 04-14-2005, 11:53 AM Yeah, I would say #9 is too high for Williamson. I picked Rolle but now that you pointed out that article, I completely agree with you about Pac-Man. I like Rolle's size, but we don't need another Miami product (Sorry SkinsNCanes) working out in Florida when he should be with the team. I still would prefer Edwards, but if we are going CB, Pac-Man seems like a stand up guy with plenty of talent. Pac Man called to say he wanted to be here. And I've had it with the U of Miami guys, I don't want too many of them on one team (not that I think Rolle will fall to us). If they're going to be a clique within the team, I'm not so sure that's great for team morale and chemistry as a whole. Plus, just imagine what will happen when Jones finds the Power Pellets on the field. T.O. will turn blue and get a lot slower! TheMalcolmConnection 04-14-2005, 11:57 AM Hopefully this will be him... http://img120.echo.cx/img120/9660/pacman0gf.jpg TheMalcolmConnection 04-14-2005, 11:57 AM I'm on the exact same page. TheMalcolmConnection 04-14-2005, 12:02 PM On a more serious note, when I think about it. Anyone that says they want to be a part of our team just from visiting, is definitely someone I want. I'm on the Pac-Man bandwagon now. PSUSkinsFan21 04-14-2005, 12:45 PM I think I'm still leaning toward Rolle because I just love that combination of size, tackling and speed, but Pac-Man is starting to win me over. By draft day, Pac-Man's attitude will probably have me cheering for him instead, but right now Rolle is just too tempting when you're going up against TO and Plax twice a year. Redskins_P 04-14-2005, 01:07 PM On a side note, wasn't it Rolle that said his favorite team growing up was the Cowboys? For that reason alone, we shouldn't draft him.... |
