If you play Griffin you have to play all or at least most of the starters. Not sure that's worth it for a couple of series against scrubs.
Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QBMTK 08-27-2014, 01:32 PM If you play Griffin you have to play all or at least most of the starters. Yeah we talked about it this morning. He is still deciding. mredskins 08-27-2014, 01:46 PM If you play Griffin you have to play all or at least most of the starters. Not sure that's worth it for a couple of series against scrubs. I was thinking it may boost his confidence (assuming he did well). SS and Cooley both said he needs a confidence builder game. over the mountain 08-27-2014, 02:00 PM I think we should sign Incognito to a 1 year deal at RG and cut Chester i agree but i wonder if BA wants to stay away from PR problems. my fan vote is for the starters to not play. yes RG3 needs a confidence boost but there is no guarantee that he will play well against tampa and that might compound the confidence issue. also, pretty clear we havent shown our true offense which i think is a major reason our 1st team offense hasnt looked great. why run RG3 out there to practice plays if we wont be running bootlegs and PAs. we are going to light the league up come week 1. taking names and kicking ass. Judging how our 1st team offense played this pre-season, they should all be playing. It's obvious they need the work. MTK 08-27-2014, 02:27 PM I wouldn't want to risk anyone to injury at this point. Especially playing against scrubs, I don't see where the benefit outweighs the risk. It's not like practice reps don't count. mooby 08-27-2014, 03:35 PM Judging how our 1st team offense played this pre-season, they should all be playing. It's obvious they need the work. And then when one gets injured, it's "why are they playing in a meaningless preseason game" again, just like when it happened to Portis. mredskins 08-27-2014, 03:54 PM And then when one gets injured, it's "why are they playing in a meaningless preseason game" again, just like when it happened to Portis. Oh god, that was the beginning of the end for Portis. It was his shoulder. skinsfan69 08-27-2014, 03:56 PM If the offense is going to be good or bad, one or two series in the 4th pre season game isn't going to make a difference. Leave them on the sideline. The work has already been put in. We'll know week one. NC_Skins 08-27-2014, 03:59 PM And then when one gets injured, it's "why are they playing in a meaningless preseason game" again, just like when it happened to Portis. You can say that about any game or any practice they are involved in. Injuries are going to happen regardless. |
