Game notes
The Redskins matched New Orleans' four-year, $4.3 million offer sheet to restricted free agent FB Bryan Johnson (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5441). Gibbs, however, said that Johnson's status had not been resolved, leaving the possibility open for a trade. Johnson has not attended the minicamp.

Anyone have an idea on what we could get for sending Trotter AND Johnson somewhere in a deal?

A 2nd or 3rd rounder maybe?? ....for the both of them?? I don't think that would be far fetched...

But, I doubt they'll find a buyer with those 2 BOTH being OVERPAID and carrying hefty cap-hits.

When David Boston was traded he signed a new contract. Johnson and Trotter would talk to the team the Redskins had an agreement on as far as a trade goes and then sign a brand new contract.

If we had let him go to the Saints, we wouldn't have gotten squat in return. Good move by the FO.
