Given that we signed Rasby, we're keeping Chamberlin, and now we just matched a big deal for BJ, it seems to me that we wont draft Winslow. The skins are clearly trying to pin down the TE/H-back situation now.
I figure it's going to be Taylor.
What do y'all think?

JWsleep,
I could not agree more. Here is a post I made 2 days ago:
"We have addressed every need position except Safety. I think that says alot. I remember Gibbs saying there has been a plan in place for player aquisition since day 1 of free agency. That plan is looking more and more (to me) like pick Sean Taylor at #5 if he is still there...unless we get offered an amazing trade down deal.

I tend to agree. Though I wouldn't count Rasby. He's a different type of player, more a blocker than a receiver. But you're forgetting about Sellers

I agree, either Taylor or they pull off some surprise move, something that makes sense, yet we didn't see it coming. Something similar to us getting Joe Gibbs back.

We have Byron Chamberlain, Robert Royal and Brian Johnson who are primarily pass catching TE's/H-backs/FB's, Ok at blocking.
We also have Walter Rasby, Mike Sellers and Kevin Ware who are primarily blocking TE's/H-backs/FB's.
Plus Rock Cartwright who is primarily just a FB.
That is alot of players for these roles. Adding Winslow is a luxury.
The Safety position on the other hand is pretty weak. One injury to Bowens or Ohalete would be devastating.

Taylor, and I still wouldnt completley rule out a trade down. I'm pullin for Taylor though.

I like it, I was worried we would get carried away with winslow, gibb's never needed the superstar TE that's why we have 3 and 4 reciever set's, taylor would be tremendous if we draft him, the coaches know what direction they want to go and what is most immportant to thier style of coaching I say this because of surprises you never know, but with roy william's knocking people around in dallas I could see a real emphasis on trying to top them with the best saftey in the game, not that gibb's get's caught up in that kind of pissing contest, but I am sure DS still has an opinion here and givin the need as well as the talent in taylor he could bring a pretty strong case to the table to draft taylor.

I like Taylor too and that would be my pick, but the fact that Chamberlain and those other guys are on the roster right now means little ... the Skins could still take Winslow if Gibbs et al decide he's the best fit and the best value. Chamberlain didn't impress anyone last year, Royal has shown flashes but he's young and gets hurt a lot, Rasby and Sellers are blockers, as someone else pointed out. Winslow could easily be the guy we pick -- don't rule him out.

You make a good point Ghost. I like the uncertainty right now i think we are doing an excellent job of not allowing other team's to gauge our pick.

Chamberlain didn't impress anyone last year.I can think of only two players on offense that impressed me last year (Coles and McCants)... I think that's more of a factor of Spurrier's offense rather than the talent level of the players. Also... TEs were almost persona non grata in Spurrier's world. Chamberlain was a Pro-Bowler not long ago... let's see what Joe can do with him.
