The way those 2 contracts roll, we could have a problemThey can afford both, but I get the sense they really don't want to sign Orakpo.
Pick 47 Trent MurphyGTripp0012 05-10-2014, 01:14 AM The way those 2 contracts roll, we could have a problemThey can afford both, but I get the sense they really don't want to sign Orakpo. ICantGoAnother20yrsOfCrap 05-10-2014, 01:19 AM I think this means Rak's days are numbered. Unless he has a career year this year, he's gone. Dirtbag59 05-10-2014, 01:26 AM Work ethic and love of the game seems to be very important to Gruden and Co. Jay Gruden: RG3 works out more than anyone I’ve ever seen | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/04/07/jay-gruden-rg3-works-out-more-than-anyone-ive-ever-seen/) Jay Gruden Discusses Rounds 2-3 - Hogs Haven (http://www.hogshaven.com/2014/5/9/5702028/jay-gruden-discusses-rounds-2-3) Mike Jones @MikeJonesWaPo Gruden: redskins saw Murphy as "a proven pass-rusher" praises him as a hard-worker. Says he needs to work on strength and explosion. Tarik El-Bashir @TarikCSN Jay Gruden said he loves Trent Murphy's production and work ethic. Will need to work on strength. Rich Tandler @Rich_TandlerCSN Gruden on Murphy: “First one on the field, last one off it." Chris Russell @Russellmania980 Jay Gruden: "He's a great kid" on Moses...says overriding factor is work ethic. Mike Jones @MikeJonesWaPo Gruden describes Long as "tough, tenacious" and says football is his passion. To me it kind of feels like they took Moses because he had way to much talent at that point in the draft to override their concerns towards his work ethic. Personally I think hes going to be an excellent fit here but we'll see. Bucket 05-10-2014, 04:42 AM This guy has incredible instincts for making a play and utilizes more than one move to get to the QB. He showed a bull rush, rip, and spin move on his highlight film. Not to mention his multiple interceptions for touchdowns and deflections NYCskinfan82 05-10-2014, 07:18 AM I think they will use him like JJ what! you say about my momma (a little early morning humor). They will move him all over the line. IMO they are going bigger looking for tipped balls (please no jokes) at the line of scrimmage. He likes to think of himself as a premiere pass rusher in the DeMarcus Ware mold. Wanna get paid like that? I wanna see 15 sacks and 5 forced fumbles from Rak this season, now that the shackles are supposedly coming off. Irrefutable 05-10-2014, 09:32 AM Time for Rak to put up or shut up. I agree Orakpo is gone, if he has a good year he will cost to much to sign, if not, he will want more than he is worth skinsfan69 05-10-2014, 09:45 AM Regardless of what we think about Rak's future, he's on the team for 14. Actually, I like this pick as now we can put another pass rusher on the field. The secondary wasn't the only issue with the defense. The secondary wasn't the only issue with the defense. Damn right! Nothing helps a secondary more than a strong pass rush. Plus, we may still pick up a promising CB or safety in this draft. I have to admit that I started liking this pick a lot more after we were able to get Morgan Moses in the third round. Chico23231 05-10-2014, 10:19 AM I'm gonna let this pick slide because of the Moses one pick, but I will blame Murphy most responsible for my hangover this morning |
