Trust me, it was a solid pick and he's smart, could be a Justin Smith type pick if he beefs up.

SirLK26 05-09-2014, 09:55 PM Murphy was a great DE at Stanford, always making plays, I hope they pair him with Shane Skov. Just because most of you haven't seen him play doesn't mean it was a terrible pick. Heck, let's get Shayne Skov this evening sometime, then take Ed Reynolds tomorrow. All are the types of football players I love; not necessarily great athletes or prototypically sized, but very instinctive, great teammates, and great players to have on your team. Ryan Kerrigan, Alfred Morris, London Fletcher types. Chico23231 05-09-2014, 10:01 PM Trust me, it was a solid pick and he's smart, could be a Justin Smith type pick if he beefs up. I'm pulling for the guy and yes I knew him before the draft. Honestly Skov would have been a better pick but we are kinda set at ilb IMO . Think Murphy woulda been there late 3rd. SFREDSKIN 05-09-2014, 10:02 PM At a rangy 6-5, 252 pounds, Murphy doesn't necessarily project well to a classic 4-3 alignment or even the 3-4 scheme in which he starred for the Cardinal but like Allen (6-5, 260), he's one of the tougher, more ornery players I've come across. I think he'll ultimately out-play his draft selection, though not necessarily to the staggering degree as Allen. --Rob Rang Dirtbag59 05-09-2014, 10:02 PM Boo never heard of him Must be bad pick 2/10 would not bang 5/10 would bang but not until a little bit closer to closing time :D. Funny thing is if this was a 3rd round pick I would have really liked it. With our first pick in the second round, well suffice to say my head hurts from banging it against a concrete wall. I realize the last Super Bowl kind of showed how critical a great defense is but I would like to make sure we at least are protecting our franchise QB. Only time will tell but, this doesnt pass the smell test for me. Guy played around a ton of good talent at Stanford Well to be fair the announcers were gushing over him in the Rose Bowl against Michigan State. Heck thats the main reason I even knew who he was aside from hearing his name linked to the Redskins. luIXgJOwlFo Fiversons 05-09-2014, 10:03 PM This pick is simply horrible... I don't know how anybody can spin this... T.O.Killa 05-09-2014, 10:03 PM Heck, let's get Shayne Skov this evening sometime, then take Ed Reynolds tomorrow. Ryan Kerrigan, Alfred Morris, London Fletcher types. I prefer the Seatle San Fran types. Guys that can run. JGisLordOfTheRings 05-09-2014, 10:04 PM yea his highlight real is bad dude looks awful slow covering a TE possibly? I dont fucking think so... |
