artmonkforhallofamein07 04-19-2014, 11:16 PM I don't know I would take McCoy over painter and freeman. Neither of those guys are really any good punch it in 04-19-2014, 11:39 PM No they arent. Neither is Mccoy. I would probably take Freeman over any of them though. Bucket 04-19-2014, 11:43 PM I would take Pryor over all of them, and he's about to get cut. Dirtbag59 04-20-2014, 01:03 AM Foles had a crazy yr last season, that won't happen again. The evil part of me would love it if that were the case but the numbers he put up last year made me think that in this system his floor is that of a 90 QB rating. Time will tell but unfortunately I think Foles is for real. To bad he's not like McNabb where we could at least rely on a couple of balls in the dirt. Then again maybe he could turn out like Eli where his stats on a year to year basis are all over the place :D Stop Nick Foles Plan (http://youtu.be/tO5sxLapAts) Phase 1: Take away best receiver Phase 2: ?????? Phase 3: Profit! i hate espn and nfl.com for the same reason. don't ever auto play videos i don't click on. please. ever. Nfl.com is worse about that I swear no matter what u do a damn video pops up Totally agree. That's actually a huge reason I try and stay away from NFL.com for my news. They constantly barrage you with ads in videos, banners, sign ups, etc. We get it, you've whored out to every ad contract offered but keep it at a decent level for the fans please. Yup. Most annoying. Lol, I think my face is hurting from this ridiculous chesire cat grin I got going right now from seeing how many people share my pain. Giantone 04-20-2014, 06:10 AM He's horrible, too. He hasn't played well for at least the last two seasons. Player A: 11,108 yards passing, 68 touchdowns and 45 interceptions. Completion percentage: 59.6 Yards per attempt: 7 Yards gained per pass completion: 11.8 Player B: 11,049 yards passing, 67 touchdowns and 32 interceptions. Completion percentage: 59.9 Yards per attempt: 7.1 Yards gained per pass completion: 11.8. Player A is Freeman. Player B is Joe Flacco, who just signed a six-year, $120.6 million deal with more than $50 million guaranteed. Eli Manning, in that same time period as Freeman (his second, third and fourth seasons), threw for 10,342 yards, 71 touchdowns and 55 interceptions. We're not suggesting Freeman, Flacco and Manning are interchangeable, but we are trying to take a look at the bigger picture here. According to the analytical site Pro Football Focus, he's between a 50-60 percent passer under pressure as a regular starter, which is no different than Andrew Luck's first two seasons (again, not suggesting they are the same player). Josh Freeman by the numbers: Did Giants sign the best available backup? | NJ.com (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2014/04/josh_freeman_by_the_numbers_did_giants_sign_the_be st_available_backup.html) redskin37 04-20-2014, 07:21 AM I would take Pryor over all of them, and he's about to get cut. I'm not much of a numbers guy. Forget the numbers for a minute. Have you seen Freeman play in the last couple of years? Do you think that your team could win enough games with him under center to lead your team to the division title if Eli were to miss ten games, eight games, or six games? Bear in mind that the other teams in the division might be starting Romo, Foles, and RGIII over the same time period. No team in the NFC East is dominant over the other three teams in the division. In most division games, there will come a time when a QB must make a play for his team to win. For example, fourth down in the Red Zone with his team trailing late in the 4th quarter. That type of play. I think Eli, Romo, Foles, and a healthy RGIII can make that play. I don't think that any of their backups can be expected to make that play. Therefore, I think that the health of their starting QB is critical to each of the teams' chances of winning the division. Now, if you were to tell me that you think the Giants will completely dominate the division at the LOS and that they could win the division with any half-way decent QB, then that is another argument altogether. Giving Freeman enough time to learn a system and not have a head case for a head coach ,yes I think he could lead the Giants if need be .What you need to realize is Romo ...is Romo , Foles has had one good year , RGIII has had one good year ,Freeman has had one good year, so yes I do . As for NFCE teams , no teams are dominant ,every time one plays another they are battles ,big wins once in a whiles but mostly battles . KI Skins Fan 04-20-2014, 12:27 PM Giving Freeman enough time to learn a system and not have a head case for a head coach, yes I think he could lead the Giants if need be. Good luck with that. Your arguments that tried to roughly equate him with Flacco, RGIII, and Foles were very weak. He is so poorly regarded at this point that he was fortunate to land a backup job. By the way, your OL has not been "fixed". Your team has made some good moves in an attempt to fix it but, right now, there is no verification that it has been fixed. If and when it is fixed, you'll still have a poor group of RB's operating behind it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Giantone 04-20-2014, 01:51 PM Good luck with that. LOL,I might have to remind you that if the O line was broken for the QB then it wasn't working to well for the running backs either ,I'm sure RGIII will agree with me on that . So yup I'll have a great weekend ,thanks . |
