Some day we'll get to the point where an openly gay player is no big deal, but until then we have shit like this

What Are (Some) Christians Saying About Openly Gay NFL Player Michael Sam? Take a Look (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2014/05/12/what-are-some-christians-saying-about-openly-gay-nfl-player-michael-sam-take-a-look/)

Funny thing is of the ~8 different people cited in that example theres a good chance that at least one of them is gay.

Also a good chance that a close family member or former friend is gay as well. Anyone remember this guy?
Meet Jack Burkman, The Republican Lobbyist Trying To Ban Gay Players From The NFL (http://www.ibtimes.com/meet-jack-burkman-republican-lobbyist-trying-ban-gay-players-nfl-1557819)

GOP Lobbyist Behind Anti-Gay NFL Bill Has A Gay Brother (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/24/anti-gay-nfl-bill_n_4850859.html)

BTW he's back in the spotlight:
Boycott launched against openly gay St Louis Rams player Michael Sam, by Christian lobbyist Jack Burkman - Americas - World - The Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/boycott-launched-against-openly-gay-st-louis-rams-player-michael-sam-by-christian-lobbyist-jack-burkman-9365426.html)

Personally at this point I kind of want to encourage this type of behavior. Every crazy statement people like Burkman make only serves to reduce their influence and credibility.

Speaking of crazy people the ultra talented 'Sandy Hook Truther' Colt Lyerla {TE Oregon} is apparently unsigned.

Is Colt Lyerla Worth the Risk as an NFL Undrafted Free Agent? | Bleacher Report (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2061952-is-colt-lyerla-worth-the-risk-as-an-nfl-undrafted-free-agent)
According to NFL.com, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.61 seconds—only one-hundredth of a second slower than first-round pick Eric Ebron (albeit at eight pounds lighter). He has a 39-inch vertical leap, which was tops among tight ends at this year's NFL combine by four inches.

Before you guys say no just remember the lesson I taught you all this weekend.

Sounds like he's not ready and needs some help. Once he's ready he'll get his shot.

Im afraid to read this article because my impression of this world (or atleast too much of it) is already too fragile. I think that press conference or not you just cannot fix an idiot. They sort of just have to get weeded out and die off.
Edit:I knew I shouldn't have read that....

Makes sense. Second comment made me laugh, so true though

So I just looked at our schedule again and Im convinced we can go 15-1 losing on the road, in OT, to San Fran. Which Im really not concerned about because we can exact revenge on them in the NFC Championship game.

Hey, if you're going to go all bats*** crazy optimistic on us, why stop at 15-1? Why not say 16-0? Anytime your QB is better than your opponents' QB, you have a good shot at winnning. So assuming a healthy G3 and Kaepernick are the QBs in the 49ers-Redskins game, we practically have that win locked up already...as long as you're still in your bats*** crazy optimistic mode. :D
