Nationwide? I wouldn't be so sure. Griffin's character was smeared pretty severely by the prior coaching staff on the way out. Not sure he ever emerges as the Golden Boy again.

The funny thing is, the nation doesn't know either RG3 or Johnny Manziel well enough to pass any sort of judgment on their character. That has not ever stopped them before.

Did you read the leaked evaluation on Manziel by the patriots? It's a must read and not the first paragraph. Read the research on his college career, how he handled being on and leading a football team.

The red flags aren't the diva actions, the red flags is his work ethic and conduct within the confines of "team".

Simply put, rg3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Manziel. Johhny cakes has multiple issues

If there was a poll taken rite now - nationwide - about who is more of a diva, problem child, troublemaker, etc etc etc - Manziel or Griff? Manziel would win in a landslide. He is already painted as a bad guy. Manziel has had on and off the field issues. Griff had a falling out of sorts with Shanahan. Said a thing or two after a game that got blown out of proportion.
Maybe his rep (Griffs) isnt as "golden boy" as it was his rookie year, but he is nothing like Manziel.

Manziel, hands down. Dude is a PR nightmare, headache, pain in the ass waiting to happen. Some of the stories about Manziel that are out there are awful.

You sure that was real?

I took it as true based on the initials on the report being the same as a pats employee/scout. The fact the pats were actively searching for a qb, visited with Manziel, explains the thoroughness of the research. And when belicheat didn't deny the report. Seemed legit.

Oh I agree about passing judgement. Based purely on what is out there, and what has transpired with both - whether true or not - Manziel is light years beyond Griff in the diva world imo though.
I think if Griff returns to form and wins and keeps his work ethic where its at, and most importantly, says the rite things on camera - that he can be pretty much the Golden Boy again.

One thing that is true, with this being Griffin's 3rd year, the media will have moved on unless something extremely positive or negative happens. Sure local media will make hay, and some hype will be true, but now is when his professionalism either makes him a franchise qb, or his diva tendencies tear him down. The media has gotten their double portion from his entry into the league, and they are hungry for new blood (Johnny Football will happily provide it).

I expect Griffin to come to work day in/day out. Take over leadership of this team, and leave the past in the past. At least that's what I hope he does.

I dont really see Griff as a diva? Maybe as a fan I dont want to. I see him more as a young kid with the weight of a franchise (a desperate one), and a major injury that might have just gotten into his head a little. I just dont see a spoiled, attention hungry, me first guy who only cares about himself.

Okay the Tackle depth at Texas A&M is starting to get ridiculous.

2015 NFL Draft: Top 100 prospects - CBSSports.com (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-scout/24558779/nfl-draft-top-100-prospects)
4/1, Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, 6-5, 300, rSr, Texas A&M: Could be better than former first round teammates Luke Joeckel or Jake Matthews, which is saying a lot. He is expected to become A&M's third top-10 lineman in the draft in three years.

Speaking of A&M if the Patriots scouting report of Johnny Leaf is real then he's going to be out of the league sooner rather than later.

Highlights:
- JL 8/22 -Vibe on this guy keeps getting worse. Support staff members are sick of him and ready for him to go.

- Doesn't study the game, said to know about 60% of the offense in '12, never watches film; one source said only time he watched film during '12 was before ALUN. [Alabama]

- What you see on TV and how he is portrayed, that's him; but when you talk to him, you'll like him'. Coaches love his tuffs/competes, they want to go to war with him, but 'Johnny will be Johnny' during the week

-Comes from 'outlaw bloodlines', mom moved the family to Kerrville to get away from father's wild family. Father's family is said to be very shady people, always into something, they are the root of Johnny's personality

- Knows how to scheme the system, arrogant and full of himself, but he's not smug to coaches.

- Has been like this since Day 1, has never gone to class, goes to beat of own drum, but has ultimate confidence

- Teammates don't dislike him, but there's some resentment, more so in the offseason when he isn't coming to workouts and they are busting their butt

- Will never take football seriously enough for our coaching staff, he'll hate meetings, will have to drag him to work out, etc. The definition of the word maintenance.

I mean I heard the spoiled brat part before hand but I didn't realize the other stuff they apparently uncovered. Based on this he should have been picked no earlier then the 5th round.
