He has the douche potential to be one of the all time greats. I'm with lotus and not buying the hype, it's tebow-like.
Eh, no where near Tebow in terms of bust potential. Similar though in regards to surrounding talent level. Two top 5 tackles. Throwing to guys like Evans and Swope certainly helped while playing in a somewhat QB friendly offense. I literally put his odds of NFL success at 50-50 as I could easily see him go either way (pro bowler or bust).
With that said, isn't it F*****G awesome not having to worry about finding a QB. I mean sure we have other stuff as far as injuries to worry about with RG3 but DAMMIT its nice to not have QB be a need going into the draft.
In other news the comment section for this article made me think that Jeff Ireland might be the worst NFL GM of all time.
Ex-Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland lands a job with the Seahawks | FOX Sports on MSN (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/laces-out/ex-dolphins-gm-jeff-ireland-lands-a-job-with-the-seahawks-042814)
List of Offenses
- Letting Welker go to New England for a 2nd round pick
- Choosing Culpepper over Brees
- Drafting Jake Long over Matt Ryan
- Dez Bryant incident
- Was at least there for the Richie Incognito fiasco

Now that's funny.
Actually come to think of it who are the all time greats. I can think of a short list in no particular order.
- OJ Simpson
- OJ Simpson
- OJ Simpson
- Lance Armstrong
- Lance Armstrong
- Lance Armstrong
- Lance Armstrong
- T.O
- Donovan McNabb during the twilight years
- Lebron James Mid Career
- Michael Jordan (hid it well for most of his playing career)
- Barry Bonds
- Rafael "I never did steroids...today (http://youtu.be/FZ1UMaAosV8)" Palmeiro
- Sammy "No I don't speak English" But you just did "No I didn't I mean ?Que? !No hablo ingles!" Sosa (Super Serial comment. I will offer my eternal friendship as well as pay infinity billion dollars to whoever can find the 2005 episode of Conan where he "interviews" Sosa following the steroids in baseball scandal.")
- Cristiano "I'm too sexy for my shirt (http://www.examiner.com/article/wayne-rooney-cristiano-ronaldo-couldn-t-stop-looking-at-himself-the-mirror-1)" Ronaldo
- Alex "I swear its just a mid-life crisis clinic" Rodriguez
- Floyd Mayweather Jr
- Roger Clemens
......for simplicity purposes maybe we should exempt baseball players from the list.
Though of course we all know the ultimate UNDISPUTED all time douchebag in all of sports. BARRY SANDERS!!!! Heres a list of just a few of his many offenses.
- Handing the ball off to the ref after TD's like he's better than everyone. How cocky do you have to be to act like you've been in the endzone before?
- During his senior year of High School football letting the young kids play instead of going for the city rushing title.
- Saying that he'd never consider himself better than Emmitt Smith (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/12/barry-sanders-id-never-say-i-was-better-than-emmitt-smith/). Someone should have asked him the tough questions like "Would you consider yourself better at remembering names (http://walterfootball.com/draft2013emmitt.php) and the English than a Emnit Smitth (http://youtu.be/iGT08DTk3NM)."
- Saying he felt Rodney Peete deserved the Heisman (http://espn.go.com/classic/biography/s/sanders_barry.html) after he won it.
The list goes on and on.
Follow Up Edit: I'm super serial about the Conan-Sammy Sosa thing.

[QUOTE=Dirtbag59;1069576]I can't help but think Landry would have ended up as Landry regardless. Even if he continued playing at the same level as earlier in his career he likely would have still run into the injury bug.
Taylor on the other hand, I know we kind of romanticize about him a lot, but he really was worthy of the hype. Especially when he started to learn how to play center field. I mean how many safeties in the league today are 6'3 230 his kind of speed and agility. The best way I can describe him to all the youngins today was he was the defensive back version of Megatron.
Funny thing I noticed though when watching this video was below that the poll for ESPN in regards to which player should the Redskins draft read 48% Kellen Winslow 35% Sean Taylor right before Taylor was selected.

I seem to remember ,maybe it was draft day ,the Browns being in the hunt for Taylor .(also)
punch it in

If not for the injuries and controversies in the nfl Winslow could have been great. He was, well....a dumbass.
Im sure the Browns were in the hunt for Taylor too because Butch Davis was the coach there at the time.

So never heard on comments on the D Jax acquisition?
We know your feelings on Garcon. The article lacks several things, but not gonna rehash it.

I think Jackson is more valuable than a lot of the league does, and the Redskins appear to agree with me.
I cringe at the thought of hearing the name "Johnny Football" for the next 10 years. Plus I think the guy is a mega douche. Two reasons I'm praying he's a bust.
With a little luck, you will have to tune in to the Blue Bombers......Stampeders game........

Stephen Bowen: 'No doubt I'll be ready' - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/7278/stephen-bowen-no-doubt-ill-be-ready)
I did not know that doctors could even attempt to re-generate cartilage growth .. amazing.
not sure what the skins are doing, id like to think that they at least asked bowen if he would be willing to take a pay cut to avoid being a potential cap cut.
