What gives me concern is that teams almost always seem to find a way to work with players and their various criminal activity but in this case Philly flat out told him to take a hike. It must have been really bad.

I always heard the a leopard cant change his spots, hopefull DJ changes.

True. In fact, Philly didn't just tell him to take a hike, Philly paid $6 mil. in deadcap to get rid of him.

You know you're an major asshole when someone else pays $6 mil. to make you go away.

Deadcap does not mean they handed over $6M to Jackson as he was released. It just means they had to recognize $6M of the signing bonus previously paid to him on this season's books.

Possibly, or it could mean that Kelly feels like he can't build a long-term stable winning franchise with someone who doesn't buy into his program.

I don't think alleged criminal activity had all that much to do with the decision to release him. The story just offered the Eagles some very timely cover.

They would have paid him $10.5 mil in real money to keep him. Most of this sounds like Kelly wanted to make the point of my way or the highway. I think Kelly believes he can plug anyone in and his offense will work.

I wasnt saying DJ was involved in criminal activity . I was saying that teams find ways to work with players who are involved in criminal activity.

Locker room cancer is a term that gets tossed around way too often. Kirk Cousins? Really? WTF.

As far as DJ goes he has his share of supporters too. Obviously he didn't click with Kelly for whatever reasons. Ultimately I think the decision came down to $$ and egos.

That's the point, people jumping to conclusions. I'm jumping to conclusions too. We have as much proof Cousins is criminal as we do DJax is a criminal.

That is where Kelly is wrong. Every year players come out of the draft fast as Jackson but not producing.

I dont think its going to take too long for that drama fit to happen. From what I have been reading he was a complete and total locker rooom cancer in Philly. He was much more concerned about getting his catches and his rap label than the team winning. It will be interesting to see how he deals with a rookie coach and that rookie coach handles him.

As far as your concerned he is a gang banger. Nothing will convince you otherwise.
