punch it in 04-02-2014, 01:09 AM I cant sleep now. Waiting for week one. Tha Posse 04-02-2014, 01:34 AM Nice! Our offense is going to be a whole lot of fun to watch! Dirtbag59 04-02-2014, 05:54 AM No Dirt, not true. The cost of releasing Jackson was a $6 mil. dead cap hit. See here (http://nfl.si.com/2014/03/28/desean-jackson-released-philadelphia-eagles/)or here (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/28/eagles-will-carry-6-million-on-2014-cap-for-desean-jackson/). This is one reason why I have beaten the drum against DJax. Philly wanted him gone so bad, they were willing to absorb immediately a dead cap hit of $6 mil. Besides, in two years a DJax deadcap hit of $6 mil. could be ours, too, if we sign him. If thats the case you have to wonder how the guys in the Philly locker room feel. Riley Cooper stays on the team after an awful public incident that was caught on film for the world to see while Jackson gets unceremoniously released due to alleged gang ties. Regardless the Eagles front office methods don't concern me. Only actions that made way for us to sign an elite player in their prime on the open market. Maybe it will end up being too good to be true but as stated before I'm more then fine with that risk. |
