Not contact wise, but it would all but take WR off the board in the 2nd round and fill a so called need. I don't look at money when it comes to players.
It would definitely open up options with our picks.

You have to look at cap implications when comparing a draft pick to a veteran.

It would also take WR off the board for the next couple of years in the early rounds anyway.

John Keim tweet:
And, yes, I do think this is where I think desean wants to be. But the deal has to be right.

By the way Lotus, I get that John Keim's tweet is exactly your fear for the future.

Interesting...
John Keim @john_keim 7m
One thing I've seen in past with Jackson's agent Joel Segal is he doesn't like to send his wr's to bad qb teams if possible. Bad 4 biz

Just a thought, if Danny (or God forbid Vinnie) we're running this show, a deal would have been in place even before DeSean was released. And we know for certain that it would have been an awful deal for the Redskins. There were so many...
So this whole process is something new. It certainly seems that Danny is not driving the Bus anymore, else a deal would be in place. Seems to me that Bruce Allen's coming out party continues, and I, for one, like it. As long as he listens to the right personnel guys, and I think he is. I like the direction, whether we sign dJax or not, it bodes for better times ahead for the Redskins.

If Vinny was in charge, we would have given D. Ware and Jared Allen ridiculous contracts, maybe would have outbid everyone for J. Byrd (although maybe they would have never gone after a player we actually need), and given Philly multiple picks for D. Jax.
This is why I don't get the people that say "it's just like before" about this situation.
