Problem is T Bridgewater. When I saw him play 2-3 times this year I said, best player in the country period head shoulders above Manziel based on my eyes. When I saw Clowney play, I barely heard his name called. Disappearing act. He just didnt show.

My second team is Houston, and I'm hoping like heck they take Bridgewater. He is going to be an outstanding NFL QB. Greg Robinson is the only other player worth first overall, IMO, and they already have Duane Brown. Clowney will be a great player, but I don't know how wise it would be to be paying both Watt and Clowney on just the D-line in 5 years.

I think Clowney was pretty much mentally checked out last year. Can't blame him but it's a concern that I'm sure teams are asking him about.

I disagree and this is why Houston should not draft him. He almost looked like he quit on his teammates. What's he going to do when things get tough in pro ball? I think Clowney plays football because he's great at it, not because he loves it. Bridgewater is a great player, a smart player, who has his head on right and seems to love football, plus he plays QB. Houston should take Bridgewater.

I wonder if we had our number 2 pick would we let rak walk and draft Clowney, or would be drafting another position?

I'm with you. That's why I would take Bridgewater if I were Houston.

Why let Rak walk?

They play different positions, for now.

Clowney plays DE and he'd be on a cheaper rookie contract for a few years. In 4 years, he'll really be expensive.

I wouldn't touch Clowney. He has bust written all over him. You need to be spending high draft picks on guys who care and put the effort in. All indications are that he doesn't and won't.

The Redskins are supposedly showing interest in Cyril Richardson. I don't know if they're showing this much interest to all potential picks at #34, or if they really like him. I like the idea of Richardson blocking between Trent Williams and Montgomery/veteran upgrade, though.

OL at #34 would be fine by me.

Me too. But here is the way that Cinci's receiver corps was built:

Tyler Eifert 1st round
Jermaine Gresham 1st
A.J. Green 1st
Mohamed Sanu 3rd
Marvin Jones 5th
Andrew Hawkins UDFA

I realize that Gruden did not have final say in Cinci but Mayock says that Cinci coaches are heavily involved in the draft. Given this, and given that this draft is heavy at the top with receivers, I find it hard to believe that we won't use our first pick on a receiver.

My early guess is Receiver or Olineman
